Overview: As described. Experience: So this stuff is designed to give you just enough added grip to ensure that first twist gets it moving and it does so well. Basically it's like having a brand new screwdriver every time you remove a screw. You ever notice that coating on the tip of your new screw driver? it is there to give some extra grip but unfortunately it's good for just a few uses before it loses it's ability to grip. This stuff is like renewing that coating every time you use it. I was a service tech for over 25 years and using this stuff (actually I used screw medic which was discontinued, and this is identical even same plastic bottle) I never striped out a screw, Every screw I put in or took out was done with this additive, I also replaced my small screws #0 and #1 after just 5 in/out cycles or if any signs of corrosion or wear were noted and larger ones depending on torque required as I though best. 10 cents for a screw or an hour tapping and rethreading...that is the question that needs to be asked every time you put a tool to a screw or torque a bolt. If your screw is already striped it does help but not as much as paying attention to the condition of you tools and hardware in the 1st place....

Product did not work for me
I had ordered this product to assist me with removing a screw with a stripped head. This product did not work as was described in the product details. I applied the solution from the bottle to the imbedded screw head but I could not extract the screw. It was as if the liquid compound did not "bind" so that the screwdriver could turn the screw head. Tried it several times...waited up to 30 minutes thinking the solution needed to "set" before trying to twist the screw. I was very disappointed with this product.

Be generous when applying it to screw head
Worked really well, once I applied a very generous amount to the screwhead

This stuff is fantastic!
I haven't tried it on large items, but this stuff has been a lifesaver on the smaller screws I have had trouble with. It has allowed me to remove screws that I thought I would never get out without drilling them out. That's not an acceptable method for laptops and such. A small amount of this fluid on the tip of the screwdriver and pretty badly stripped screws hold well enough to be removed. I ordered this product not expecting much but thought it would be worth a try. It exceeded my expectations by a mile! Highly recommended

unsure it is effective.
Use was for a screw in the underside of coffee maker. Nothing, including this would help me grab the screw to loosen those stripped screws. Unsure if product is able to firm up enough to help.

Doesn't work
First off I couldn't get the top open, I had to use a knife to create an opening for the gel to come out. Then I tried it on three different stripped screws and it did not work at all.

Not a cure-all, but really good otherwise.
Bought this at a local hardware store, not from Amazon. I didn’t have high expectations. Cheap steel, seized screw from a Chinese product. Screw head was *mostly* stripped, not 100% gone. The product worked wonderfully. It’s a viscous oil with some sort of metal chips inside. Simple and higher effective. If your screw is starting to strip, stop, get this, apply it, and then go buy a replacement screw.

Did not work as advertised.
Did not create any friction to enable me to turn the stripped screw.

Did not work. Tried on 2 different screw types. Waste of money

Does not work for stripped screws. The solution adds fractions but if the screws are too stripped, your driver won’t grab on anything even with the solution.

I decided to change the volume and tone control knobs on a new guitar only to find that the tiny allen grub attaching the knob to the pot spindle was sheared when the knob was installed at the factory. I was close to despair: returning the limited edition guitar would mean not being able to get a replacement and the thought of drilling out a 3mm grub screw on a new guitar left me sweating. I saw this recommended and thought that, whilst it was quite expensive for an attempt that I only had vague hopes of working, it postponed the potentially guitar-destroying drilling out option. I added a tiny drop to the business end of the allen that should have fitted the grub screw, left it a few seconds for the liquid to settle and then started turning. Magic!! The damn thing unscrewed really easily. Now I have 99.99% of the bottle left to let me undo or tighten up all the rubbish allen bolts that come with IKEA furniture, the crappy screws that come with guitar parts, the futon that sits between two bookcases to stop it falling over is now lovely in its firmed-uppedness. So, expensive but you will be glad you have it.
