Louis C.K.: Chewed Up

Yeah it's offensive and kind of gross. But it's hilarious, it's truth and it's not even dated, which in itself is pretty amazing. Makes you admire the man.

After spending years in the underground comedy circuit, Louis CK's "Chewed Up" is gaining notoriety throughout the comedy world - by comics and fans alike. As a "comics comic" he is more than just social commentary (which is biting and 100% accurate), but also gives us a REAL insight to parenting and fatherhood. If you like the clean, fatherly stories from Bill Engvall, this probably isn't for you. But if you've cussed in your head more than a few times at the dinner table when your kid doesn't eat, or really just would love a small vacation from being a parent, Louis CK shares your pain. Excellent, hilarious, side-splitting comedy. Worth every penny.

For my money, Louis C.K. is the current king of comedy. I love that no topic is off limits to him, and that he says things that we always think and feel but often don't have the guts to say. This ridiculously funny show is a perfect-follow up to his great "Shameless" special. If you're looking for big laughs while thinking "I can't believe he just said that--but it's so true" then look no further than Louis C.K.

If you like Louis CK, and his intentionally offensive, no topic is off limits, brand of comedy, this hour of stand up just flies by. For me there is only one brief lull for less than 5 minutes, but that is only the case because I've watched this film at least 10 times. On this DVD, Louis CK does one of his best bits about his children and explains his uncontrollable eating (including the Cinnabon incident) and struggles with his health as he gets older. The opening will probably have you hooked as he talks about how certain words are misused and become unusable over time, explaining his take on the words and how he uses them. Between the editing and his perfect timing, this hour will have anybody who appreciates Louis CK's comedy absolutely mesmerized!

I can't remember laughing this hard in a very long time! Louis C.K. is a rare comic genius, and it has been a pleasure watching him shape his talent with a sharpened sense of timing and delivery that has just gotten better and better over the years. In short, thank you Louis for your wit and humor! I hope that you keep the laughs coming for many more years to come.

Louie is Hilarious. I seen his HBO special and now i'm hooked. I had see his other stand up. His humor is raunchy and dirty so it might not be for everyone. It has a lot of cursing, so if you like clean humor this is not for your. Louie is just a funny funny man.

Probably his best special since Shameless, which is my all time favorite of his. The passing of George Carlin left a huge void in the world. and the closest we will ever probably have to another Carlin is Louis C.k. While Carlin would have a focus on the life of politics, Louis has a focus on the politics of life. One of the most amazing..

Habe dieses DVD als Geschenk für meine Eltern ausgesucht, die beide ganz gut Englisch verstehen weil ich beim Anschauen dieses Programms bei einigen Passagen fast in die Hose gebiselt hätte vor lachen. Louis c.k. eröffnet einem in vielen Aspekten eine ganz neue Sicht der Dinge. Das hilft gut gegen Stimmungstief(s), negative Gedanken und Sorgen. Als ihr Arzt empfehle ich Ihnen dann 3 x täglich vor den Malzeiten 10 Min dieser DVD. Lieferung war schnell, Produkt wie beschrieben. Also bin ich mit Verkäufer und Produkt vollkommen zufrieden und kann beides nur jedem weiterempfehlen der mal wieder herzlich lachen möchte.

If you don't know Louis C.K., do yourself a favor and buy this DVD, I guess you won't regret it. You need to know that Louis is a little bit aggressive in his sketches (you'll hear the "F" word a lot) but hit the nail on many aspects of our society, just like being a dad, in a relationship for a longtime, etc. and each time I couldn't stop laughing. My only regret (nothing to do with Louis C.K. or Amazon) is that this is the only DVD that has been released in Europe. I would have loved to buy "Hilarious" for instance but it is only available in the US (zone 1). Now I know some people will tell me to buy a zone free DVD player but it's a shame that it isn't just available to buy without any zone protection in the first place

The first time I saw Louis CK's stand up routine was an edited, censored version of this performance that aired on TV, and it was so fantastic that it made me search out all his stand up comedy DVDs. Although it can be, at times, grossly vulgar in this uncensored form, this is his best DVD and that's saying a lot, given that he is the funniest comedian working today. Unlike many comedians, Louis CK's unique view of human affairs doesn't descend into a depressing cynicism that's unbearable. He isn't goofy, cliche, or pandering, either, though he is quite vocal about his progressive politics without grand-standing. What's refreshing is not only his honesty, but the intelligence and joy with which he covers a variety of topics with an exciting delivery that can lighten any subject with his charming smile. Moreover, like all his DVDs, this contains comedic material not repeated on any other releases.

Hey ouai, c'est qui Louis CK ? Ben c'est le meilleur comique de Stand Up actuel selon Rick Gervais, mais comme on se fou de ce que dit Rick Gervais, car son émission ne traverse par l'atlantique, et ben on jugera avec le Dvd. Et le Dvd est un must seen d'humour grinçant, percutant, relativement americano centré mais compréhensible pour un français moyen si on s'intéresse à la langue de Pippa Middleton. Pourtant, ça partait mal Louis CK, le mec est blanc (en France on est pas drôle quand on est blanc), roux (LOL), bedonnant avec un sourire de sadique. Et bien, balayez vos préjugés, c'est simplement à mourir de rire, il est dans nos têtes, presque cathartique, ça fait du bien.
