Q: Can this bulb be used outdoors? (for flood lights)

I use them outdoors for floodlights. Very well made and very strong. Much better than a lot ofthis type of bulb being sold.

Q: Are these bulbs waterproof and wet rated? Can they be put outside in the elements without being covered?

These are really great bulbs. Very strong and what I would call heavy duty. I have four of them outside all the time for a few months now and nothing seems to bother them.

Q: Does this have a warm, yellow-ish light? I don't want a harsh white. Thanks.

It is not a true warm light...But looks very much like Halogen bulbs and is a soft white. Nice natural light and works great outside...Even in uncovered areas

Q: Has anyone tried these bulbs in an outdoor motion sensor, particularly the type that also auto-dims? (Heath/Defiant 5718)

I haven't tried them in a motion sensor but they should work if the fixture takes standard bulbs. I'm using them as spotlights in my barn and they work great - very bright.
