This is the best braid moisturizer on the market - hands down! I have been a loyal customer for years and have always appreciated how soft and healthy my hair appears when my braids have been removed. It is comprised of ingredients beneficial to my hair. I tend to wear braids during the summer due to the heat and humidity where I live. Whenever I return to my hair stylist each fall, she always remarks how healthy and thick my hair appears. I always give credit where it is due - The Roots braid moisturizer is the absolute best and is a great value for my money.

I got this product for my daughter who recently got braids because she is so active in sports! This spray was everything I was looking for in a great hair product. The spray has a leave in conditioning treatment that keeps the hair moisturized. The product has the best smell and my daughter loves the way the smell last all day. She plays two sports so her hair gets very sweaty so this spray works double on her hair. Keeping her hair smelling fresh and clean while keeping her braids nice and moisturized. I highly recommend this product! I believe this product would also work on non-braided hair as a great leave-in conditioner!

I have microlocs and high porosity hair, so I need to moisturize daily but didn't want to use something that leaves alot of residue or buildup. If it wasn't for the scent you could almost mistake this for water, which is perfect in terms of product consistency. I honestly didn't think it would do much because it was so thin, but it instantly softens my hair. I do seal after spraying once or twice a week with a light oil, and I respray with this 2 or 3 times a week. I could probably use this every day if I didn't use oil as well. Virtually no buildup on wash day every 2 weeks and the scent isn't overpowering, can easily be masked with other scents I find. I prefer buying this than trying to buy or make rose water, I'd recommend it as a daily moisturizer.

Excellent product for braids. It really works! My scalp usually gets itch before the end of a week if I wear it natural. this is usually my cue to wash it. I'm surprised that I've worn my braids for about two and a half weeks and it rarely itches. It also moisturizes my scalp and keeps the braids looking good. I also like the scent

Keeps my hair healthy? Not too oily

This stuff in great! This is my second purchase and I bought the double 12 oz bottles. Braids stayed moist and conditioned helped relieve itching, and there was very little shedding after they were taken out. She washed her hair once a week with a natural shampoo diluted with water and used this as a conditioner. She used an absorbent hair turban (also purchased on Amazon) to keep frizz down to a minimum. She applied it twice a day and after having her braids in for 5 weeks she looked like she could have gone another 2 weeks. When I took the braids out her hair felt conditioned and soft and very little residue build up was in-between the braids. Although it is a little sticky more so when wet then when it is dry if you get it on your hands, just remember it's not lotion it's a moisturizing hairspray the stickness does not build up on your hair if you wash it like your suppose to.

Hands down my favorite hair spray. It is light, penetrating, moisturizing, and smells good. Unfortunately, when I received the package all of the product had leaked out due to poor packaging. I will be re-ordering soon since there isn’t another spray that works so well with my hair.

I’m not one to write reviews, but had to with this one. This is simply a great product. I’m not sure why they call it a sheen since the beauty of this product is in its moisturizing properties. It’s nearly all I use while I have my braids installed. My scalp is not itchy, my hair has a soft sheen, and best of all, my hair stays moisturized. I use this products around 1-2 times a day. I will say, this product looks very watery upon first impression. Don’t let that deter you. Remember, Moisture = Water. You also really don’t see the beauty of this product until after you take your hair down. I didn’t appreciate it until my take down and saw how moisturized my hair was with no breakage. I’ve been using it ever since. My braids are never dry and don’t feel like it has tons of build up either. If you are on the fence about this, please give it a try! I can’t say enough good about this.

This product is great, keeps my hair soft and smells nice, and makes hair looks shiny and tangle free.
