The leaves will fall off in the autumn and stay bear through the winter and in spring you will get new fresh dark leaves that stay red all through spring and summer. No they don’t change colour

I just used a normal potting compost and my acre was absolutely fine, and soon grew into a nice shape. It has shed its leaves at the moment but that is normal so looking forward to seeing it again in the spring.
