Worked great on an 73 International Scout
GM makes some good stuff...and International purchased blinker/steering columns from them for years. This is an exact replacement. Worked very well on a 72 Scout. Take your time, don't loose any parts, and obviously...be sure to tighten the steering wheel and all mounting bolts well. (I have now repaired 2 cars that previous owners forgot to tighten steering column and/or the actual steering wheel...one had caulked the steering wheel on instead of using a bolt...I am convinced that people like that have saved us all from attack by intelligent aliens, they don't want to go near us for fear of becoming infected by stupid).

Great Replacement
Installed in a 94 Silverado K1500. My signal lights wouldn’t lock into place when turning right. My signal light switch also wouldn’t auto release from the left signal. I had to hold the switch up when turning right and push the switch back up when turning left. This replacement harness was perfect. The install process is a little time consuming for someone who hadn’t done it before. You will need a steering wheel puller and a locking plate removal tool if you choose to do this yourself. Lots of great YouTube videos out there to help you. It’s what I did. This was a perfect and snug fit and definitely worth the money in my opinion. My signal light switch now locks into place for both left and right signals. I presume they will auto release when I drive the truck but I haven’t tested they function yet.

Fixed a problem I chased for weeks. Fiddly to fit, but not hard
My 1979 Jeep CJ7's electrics went haywire out of the blue. After a lot of usual fuses, wiring, connections fiddling, deeper and deeper wire chasing and hair pulling, teeth grinding, curse yelling frustration, I was beginning to despair. Frantically viewing websites, shop manuals and Youtube videos I stumble on a video showing this part existed, no idea it was available, never looked for it (was beginning to think about rewiring whole Jeep)... worth a try, what the hell. Jeep used GM steering columns which is rather handy at this remove, GM built a few more vehicles than Jeep, so parts readily available. BINGO, it worked. A bit fiddly to remove old and replace with new, but if you're looking at this sort of thing you sort of know what you're doing or are at least willing to try and learn. It is just fiddly not really hard. You'll need all the tools for complete steering wheel/column removal/disassembly though, again, if you're looking at his, chances are you have them already. Build quality was, well, very nice initially. I did break a bit, but that has caused zero problems so far and everything fits perfectly. It is of superior quality to the indicator switch assembly I purchased from Autozone, just the little details, lube on the cam, quality of plastic itself and such. Examining both, this is far better. If your indicators/blinkers have gone haywire, taillights and other wiring acting weirdly with little apparent visible reason, this is worth a go. I have no idea why the original wiring failed after 45+ years, oh, there, that might be a reason you think?

Easy to install but will need to cut/splice
Perfect replacement for a 1991 K1500 - removing the old unit was simple. Just cut the wires at the end and pull out through the column. Getting the new one was pretty impossible for me - I saw on you tube others could route/feed their replacement in super easy but mine was too tight of a fit. So I had to cut the plastic connector off, feet it with some steel wire cabe, then crimp the wires back together. They are all color coded so super easy if you have never done it before. Just remember to cut with enough room to splice them back together. Works perfectly.

Works great in my 1978 El Camino
Thought it would be tough replacing this part but after seeing a couple videos on youtube on how to do it I decided to give it a shot. My left turn signal would not work unless you held it in a certain spot so I ordered this piece and dug in. Went to the local parts store to borrow a steering wheel puller to save cost. Took the steering wheel off and unbolted the steering column from under the dash. I looped a piece of spare wire around the connector so when I snaked the old switch out I could get the new one back through easier, worked like a charm. It went in without any issues. Plugged in the harness and put the parts back on. Works like it should. When I turn the right signal on it gives a good click to confirm but the left does not give the loud click but it does work. No more waiting at a light and having to hold the left blinker in a certain spot.

It fit, and works. I was short 1 wire for illuminated gear indicator light. I just pulled the pin out of the old harness tho so no major issue.
