Cheese Comte Gruyere (4 Lbs) Aged 6 Months Rivoire Jacquemin from France

This Comte is as close as you can come to the unpasteurized Comte you purchase in the French markets. My husband was so surprised to find this unique Christmas gift. His favorite cheese! Now, I may never get him back to France! He no longer has to go to taste his favorite cheese!.

Supposed to be a 4 lb section of 6 month old Comte. What arrived was three broken up section, the larger of which looked ancient and dry. Not at all what what presented on the site. Seller was contacted by myself and Amazon with zero response.

The fromage doesn't really taste like comte fromage from France. It has some sort of grain that crunches when consumed....like sugar grainules. My spouse is French and I lived in France. We will not repurchase this again.

Should make a lot of fondue. And I don't have to run to the store for gruyere.

This is a type of Swiss cheese, which I cannot imagine. It is the best cheese there is.

Nice cheese at good price. The flavor is very interesting, not exactly like the Gruyere We use to buy in groceries.
