Great gps for sync 3 ford units
Works great with the sync 3 in the 2016 f150. I switch from a sync 2 to a sync 3 and needed this gps for my new system and it works flawlessly. Easy hookup and no problems

2012 Audi A7 no navigation due to bad antenna on the roof
Worked like a charm. Followed YouTube video that explains how to install antenna. Plugged right in by the way. Tried sticking the antenna behind the DVD rom but no satellites were showing up so I had to route the cable under the dash by removing the glove box (7 bolts;8mm) and also had to remove some plastic pieces on the side of the passenger side door along with the passenger side column piece running from the roof to the dash, didnt have to remove that completely but just popped off the airbag emblem and then pryed the piece off a bit from the top. Hid the cable inside the roof liner and mounted the antenna to the side of the rearview mirror with the mounting pad included with the antenna . Fit perfectly. Got 9 satellites after installation and now Navigation works. FYI you have to drive the car about 1/4 mile or so for the nav to set location correctly. To see available satellites on the car push nav button then go to route and select offroad after that scroll up and down and you will see available satellites. Also nav updates along with firmware updates did not fix my lack of nav initially.

Works on lincoln mkz 2017
Was leary after the negative comments. I was having problems with my satellite radio reception on my 2017 mkz which has a combined gps amd xm antenna on the trunk lid. I picked up a new xm antenna and plugged it into the audio box in the rear passenger quarter panel. The xm had great reception now, but the gps had no signal. Apparently there is a splitter that breaks up the signal from the combined antenna and it gets powered from the xm audio side or the antenna does. So i bought this gps antenna and tried to plug it in after the splitter in the trunk but the connection was also female. Taking out the 8inch screen up front revealed the male input connection to the NAV unit and I unplugged the factory lead and plugged in this antenna and placed it near the center front winshield. Works great. So now i have gps and xm without constant acquiring signal with an open view of the sky

Works but isn’t perfect sync 3
I works but sometimes shows that you’re not on a road or it shows you offset to the left or right of the road. It could be improper installation but I tried it on the dash and under. Edit: make sure to update to the latest sync and navigation version to remove potential issues

Great for Sync2 to Sync3 upgrade.
Nice compact size, works great with my Sync2 to Sync3 upgrade. Seems durable enough to use externally, but is mounted inside in the center of the dash. Great price, strong consistent signal. Looks discreet.

Open areas only
connectors, good. Cabling, good. Reception spotty at best. The unit seems to work the best in open areas only. Just going down the street with a few trees caused spotty reception. Guess you need open sky for the best results. I bought an OEM sirius antenna, no issues encountered on the same street.

Sync 3 Compatibility
I feel the need to clarify some of the things others have written here about this antenna's compatibility with sync 3. It is very true that using this antenna you will get a navigation fault error. However, if you simply hit close on that screen you will in fact get a GPS fix. You can see that on the screenshots I attached. The error only sometimes appears and it seems to be when the antenna takes longer than 5 seconds to get a fix. I've had it taken as long as 30 seconds. I typically "see" 15-30 gps satellites and 8-10 glonass satellites. I mounted mine under the dash on an unused plastic bracket under the speak on a gen IV expedition. If the error message bothers you this isn't the antenna for you. However, I personally would trade the inconvenience of the error message for the $200 plus replacement OEM "fin" on the roof any day.

DOESN'T AS ADVERTISED
The ad says fits corvette 2005 to 2012 with factory radio and gps. Well you obviously did not show the connector doesn' t fit all models! I just wasted 2 hours of time to tar out old receiver only to attempt to fit this ..... I would not recommend this unit since it doesn't fit aa advertised and is now ruined and can't be returned!

Plugged into the factory gps antenna plug on my 2010 tiguan with nav. Have it on the dash by the windshield and I have no issues with reception.

I was upgrading my 2010 VW Golf head unit to a navigation version and needed a GPS module. This one fits and works perfectly with the OEM VW head unit, great price too.

Tried to use this antenna with my Sync 3, it does not work. Gives you constant GPS errors. Sometimes it would show the GPS location randomly. I don't know if its an issue with the antenna itself, or if its just not compatible with Sync.

Most likely will work with any car if modified (mine need a male Fakra K, olive connector).. do not rely on the picture. The color is what matters and if it's female or male. The one I receive didn't match the picture but I carefully cut the plastic plug in and kept the metal tail and it fits thight on the fakra female connector (won't come off by itself). Mine had 3 connectors one for Sirius, one for GPS and one for FM I think... Anyway I didn't care about any of them but the time would always reset because it use GPS (now it's good). I had the Antenna in the window but I'm gonna hide it inside a plastic trim and see if it still work.
