So helpful for newborns 🤱👶
For my first baby, we had a Boba wrap and Ergobaby. The Ergobaby we used all the time hiking or at the grocery store and was more heavy duty and was nice that both my husband and I could wear it. I wanted to be able to baby wear around the house, so I tried to use the Boba wrap. I used it for a bit but didn’t use it very much bc it wasn’t super easy to put on and get adjusted when you have a screaming baby and it wasn’t easy to just leave on. Before my 2nd baby, I thought I’d try using rings to turn the wrap into a sling but that didn’t quite work. I so wish I had found this sooner!! Another mom told me about the Baby KTan and I’m so glad - it was just what I was looking for. It’s so easy and quick to throw on (or leave on just hanging if you need) so if your baby is screaming you don’t get frustrated and end up crying. It’s great for being able to do chores or take care of toddler and not spend time trying to get your newborn to sleep. My baby just wants to be held or carried and I just want him to sleep and once he’s in the KTan we can bounce, walk, and pat away to get him to sleep. I can also breastfeed but it’s a little hard and have to adjust him down into it and be sure he can still breathe. When it arrived the fabric was a little rough so I threw it in the wash. I got the blue Jean color. It’s a bit softer but it’s not super soft and as soft as I’d like. The bag doubles as a tie around your waist but I don’t use it. I think it’s fine without the added security. It’s been great for the first couple months but now that my baby can sleep more on his own and is bigger I’m not using it as much and I don’t see myself using it as he gets older and bigger but maybe I will more when I go back to work and have less time to do everything. When I ordered and was using it about 6 weeks after birth it fit perfect. I was 155 lbs, 5’6”, and baby was 10 lbs. I ordered a small. I wasn’t sure I ordered the right size but it says it fits snug. That is great to help keep a newborn in and support him but now that he’s bigger -12 lbs - it’s almost too snug (although I’m now 151 lbs). I’d feel better about it being snug and put him forward facing but he doesn’t have head support yet. I think it would stretch out if I used it more and if I tried to stretch it. A medium might not have been too bad though but I’m not sure. I’m still super happy I got it and will use it for the next kid if I don’t use it much again for this one. When you and baby need sleep, it’s worth all the 💰to find things that work. If you are looking at wraps I’d suggest this one over a long fabric wrap any day. If you are looking at carriers in general, I’d say think about your needs and what you will be doing most in it.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Ever since my son was born (he is now 3 months) I have used a ring sling. I decided on the ring sling because all the tying wraps intimidated me and a ring sling looked simple to master. It worked just fine for a while and I went everywhere with him in it. It would overtime come loose, and readjusting always felt scary like he could slip out. Well my little one began to like to stretch out his legs straight every possible chance he got, and thus would no longer be in the M position anymore and he slipped right out the bottom!!! I caught him thankfully and immediately began looking for a new wrap that wouldn’t have this problem. I was stunned when I saw the ktan and how easy it looked. It just came today, so easy to put on, so comfortable. I’ve been wearing it an hour with no readjusting needed and I LOVE IT! Little one is sleeping peacefully now. I love how there’s so many ways to carry, and I love how it goes off of your shirt size so it’s a perfect fit. I am 5’4 and weigh about 115 and got XS and fits perfect. It’s just so snuggly and perfect! I’d recommend this to any new mom, he feels so safe and secure in there and I don’t have any of the problems I had with my ring sling! Thank you inventors of this baby wrap!

Great construction, washes well; stretches
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Recommended w/ reservations. I used this product with my first child and intend to use it again with my second. This is a really nicely constructed product. It's easy to get on and off, and holds baby really well... to a point. The main problem I had with this was the material stretching out. You know that favorite t-shirt you've had for years that just keeps growing with you, but you don't notice because YOU keep going a little bigger? Well, the Baby K'tan is a bit like that. When my child was small, this product was perfect. Held baby tight and close and was very breathable. But, as my child got older, I noticed the material really started to give. Now, it's common sense that a heavier baby is going to put more stress on a product such as this and stretch it a little bit. What I didn't anticipate was that it would stretch SO much, to the point that even after washing, it wasn't bouncing back. I discontinued using this around 2.5-3 months for this reason. So that was a bit disappointing. Despite this, the item washed VERY well. It became softer with each wash (maybe that's why it didn't hold up?) It was SUPER easy to get baby in and out, and I love the loop design, as well as the added waistband. Would I purchase this again? Not for full price whatsoever. I purchased my first one open box from the Amazon Warehouse for a steal, and I would do it again if I needed to replace the one I have for some dire reason. But at a full price point of $50, this just isn't worth it for the limited amount of time I was able to use it. Therefore, I'd recommend the Ergo (which is what we replaced it with) from the start with the infant insert (again, look for these items open box on the Amazon Warehouse to save money).

Great product extra small was just too small. I returned and reordered a bigger size. Comes in very handy when trying to do things around the house and my lil guy wants mama to hold him. Very easy to use

I think it's well know that a sling is a very comfortable place for a baby. The position feel natural for them and they are as close as they can be to you. This sling has been a life saver for me. Been using it from when he was 2 weeks old and still use it 3 months later. My little one did not want to sleep in his bed during the day and also had trouble faling asleep. When I put him in the sling he falls asleep in no time and I have my hands free to do some work. Or even just relax and sit in the sofa watching a movie while he sleeps in it. When they get a bit heavier I wouldn't recommend it for long walks (even though I sometimes still do it) because it is heavy on shoulders and back. For long walks (after 3 months) I use a BabyBjorn. But when I want to help him fall asleep I still use this one. The difference with other slings is that this one is super easy to put on. The fact that it has a fixed size does have the disadvantage that it can not be adapted when they grow or when someone else wants to use it. But besides that it is one of the best things I bought for him. He is asleep in it while I am writing this review.

This is a great baby carier for smaller babies. You may want to switch to something less stretchy as your child gets heavier, but for the first months, this is perfect.
