Special Needs/Picky Cat LOVES These!
Since I have never had a cat before adopting Lulu, I didn't know what would taste good to her when I first shopped for treats, let along healthy ones. I decided from the beginning that I wouldn't feed her junk foods out of concern for her overall well-being, and because I had to be careful not to do more damage to her teeth: she came to me with advanced dental decay that required surgery, and now only has 3 teeth left, so she prefers treats that are easier to chew (on top of being too hard for her to chew, some pet foods and treats contain sugar, grains, and other ingredients that could promote further tooth decay).I bought the PureBites Turkey treats on a whim because they are straightforward and don't have any by-products or grains: they are just turkey! I have also tried giving her Blue Buffalo jerky-type treats, and while I think she would also have liked the flavor of those, she prefers the PureBites because I think these melt in her mouth and are easier to chew. So, from my experience, these treats have been great for a cat with special dental needs! I will be buying these from Amazon more often because, as with most things, they are cheaper on here than in the pet store. As for the taste, even though she is usually cautious with new foods, she LOVES these: one night I forgot to put them away where she can't reach them, and I woke up to her bringing me the pouch lol. I have to say after going through that experience, it's an added bonus that it's a more-or-less cat-proof pouch and she couldn't really open it on her own. They work well as a motivation tool: she gets in her carrier by herself if I put a few in the back, reducing stress of going to the vet for both of us. When she needed surgery and was fasting, these treats are really convenient because I could break off a tiny piece or use just the powder at the bottom to get her to go in without actually feeding her a whole treat. They won't fatten your cat up if you give the treats out sparingly (which is easy to do with the PureBites because you can break off smaller chunks of the treats if you need to), she is motivated by them because they taste so good to her, and they don't seem to agitate her gums when she eats them. This is our go-to treat!

My cats absolutely love these!
My cats absolutely love these!Even hiding the bag doesn't always work when it comes to keeping the treats safe. One cat in particular goes from room to room carrying the treat packet around the house. They know the sound of this brand's bag and come running from anywhere in the house; the same as when they hear the chain of the laser pointer. My cats love these treats so much I've sent packs to my friends who also have cats. They always report their cats are happy with the treats as well.My fur-babies have only tried the beef liver treats so far. These are the only treats they haven't decided they don't like anymore after a pack or two.I love that there is only one ingredient ("100% natural and pure USDA inspected beef liver") which is freeze dried in small bits. The pieces are small enough for their tiny mouths but large enough to get a crunch or two before they start begging for more. There is a note on the back of the bag promising to replace or refund if you are not completely satisfied.Guaranteed analysis:Crude protein - 65% minCrude fat - 5% minCrude fiber - 1% maxMoisture - 4% maxCalorie content (calculated):Metabolized energy - 4000 kcal/kg(Less than 3 calories per treat according to the back of the bag)These treats are a product of the USA.

My cat surprised me
Only cats can assess taste and scent:-) but since my slightly anemic 17-year old cat devoured a few pieces in no time flat, I trust him. My vet recommended it to me. I was astonished since Tim never liked liver flavor. He flatly refuses any prescription foods, including liver pates, so I supplement his regular cat food with a small portion of raw meet for iron - high-quality beef or ground venison from the ranch, but this will be a great supplement too from now on. He hates Pet-Tinic(((

Good product
Good product, my kitty with a ton of food intolerance loves it. I like that it is single ingredient. Only problem is that my first order was correct while my second I was sent the package for dogs. The pieces are huge and I have to cut them down. Minor inconvenience but...

Excellent product, but this price is a total ripoff
My mistake for not noticing, but I’ve become complacent since I purchase this all the time – my cats go crazy for it and it really is a great product. But I’ve been getting the 2.47 ounce bag for about $11 and thought I was ordering that when it was actually .49 ounces for $10. And to make it worse, I got three of them and they are not returnable. Lesson learned – I’m shopping elsewhere where I found the best deal. I’m writing this review to try to spare others a similar overpayment. So frustrating!

Love this stuff despite it's one flaw
I have a cat that has vomited his entire life (and no, he is not a long haired cat). We have done everything, had most of his body systems tested (and cleared) as to why he does this - to no avail. I read that liver helps with vomiting prevention. This is the one product out there (that I've found, beyond cat food) that has real liver - not liver flavor - in it. The flaw - it is much too large and hard for the cats. My vomiting cat can't eat it (defeats the purpose) and the younger cat wouldn't even touch it. So I put it into the blender and ground it down to a powder. I sprinkle probably about 3/4 of teaspoon on his breakfast offering. We are down to once a month of the vomiting and he is even throwing up an occasional hairball (which he never, ever did before). I have tried all the otc hairball meds, hairball 'control' foods, pumpkin (which works very well with rabbits), and limiting the amount of food he was offered at a feeding. This is the one item that has worked for us. The sad thing is - I can no longer get it locally and must order it here at amazon. But that and grinding it are not much of a bother to keep from having to clean my carpets all the time.
