Thought this brand would ve good quality...
The finger loops broke after a couple hours of use and the length changes as you use them because the cords slip so easily. I sewed the finger loops myself and they work fine now. It's really the way the cords slip that messes me up beacuse it throws off my ability to judge my hand placement... The colors are great and they work alright if you constantly check the cords, but I really wish I didn't have to adjust them several times during practice.

Amazing Pois. Very bright and very durable
Amazing Pois. Very bright and very durable. I smacked it against the wall a few times, but it is still working fine. I love it!

Don't wast your money
I bought this as a gift for my 20 year old son for Christmas as he was really enjoying learning how to use the ones he had but was looking for something better. The price was very reasonable at $29.95 and people gave good reviews, so I ordered them. The very first time he used them the light in one of the balls went out and then the hand strap tore. I think these were probably meant more as a toy then as a serious hobby for someone like my son who uses them at outdoor concerts and drum circles and can do some pretty amazing things with them. I guess the price should have given me a clue as to the quality. I returned these and ordered the Pod Poi LED made by Flow Toys and fulfilled by Amazon which were $99.95; a bit pricey but worth every penny. They have more light settings, are much softer than the EmazingLights and he has been going strong with them for the past 3 months and happy to say they are in perfect condition. That being said, if you know someone who is serious about learning how to use Poi balls don't waste your money on a cheap set; pay the extra money and save yourself a lot of aggravation. If you are buying these for a older child or a young teen they will probably be fine but be aware the balls are pretty hard and they do hurt if they hit themselves with them.

LEDs work fantastic. Everything else works fine, except the handles broke on the first day of use.
I was really excited when I first received these poi. They are really good poi to practice with, they have great weight and there are a lot of cool options for both the pattern and the colors of the LEDs (the variety is probably my favorite part of these poi). The balls themselves are pretty durable, yet they are squishy enough so you won't seriously hurt yourself, (and if you are starting out, you will hit yourself a lot). The lengths are also adjustable, which makes these poi pretty versatile to anybody's preferences, no matter ones' level of expertise or their height. The only real issues I had with these poi were the handles. The handles are sewn together pretty flimsily. On my very first day of using them, both of the handles broke apart, and I had to sew both of them back together. The only relief is that its a relatively easy fix, but even then, I'm worried about them breaking again since they are only being held together by a tiny thread. For $40, I shouldn't have to worry about something as important as the handles breaking on the first day of use. There should be way more material holding the handles together than just a tiny thread, poi are meant to be put under the stress of rapid movement when used, either for practice or when performing. For the price, I would say $40 is a little steep, but I still ultimately enjoy these poi, and they are still very fun to use. Just make sure you know how to do some simple sewing.

Fun for beginners
The handle loops fell apart almost right away, had to re sew them back together. The rest seems to be holding up. They are pretty bright with the new batteries, not sure yet how long they last. The weight is good and the different color patterns are fun once you get it to stay in that mode.

Totally unacceptable for the price.
After playing with them for a week the finger straps on one of the poi balls ripped and now 3 weeks later I have one light not having any color strobes lights up but no colors. Very disappointed for the cost that I paid for these to have these 2 major defects all ready. I will be looking for my receipt and requesting full refund or replacements sent. Totally unacceptable. 😡

Good color, bad handles/rope
Vibrant color but like many others, after two times of use the straps have fallen off. The rope has already started to fray as well so they are to be held properly unless you want blisters on your hands from the rope.

Whole lotta bang for your buck
Excellent poi for an excellent price. I'm relatively new to the art but they haven't disappointed me yet.
