Works great, excellent features, awesome coffee!
I decided to take the plunge and move away from pod coffee to sourcing artisan beans from my local roaster and taking control of all aspects of the brewing process. This machine allows me to choose how fine or coarse to grind my beans, exactly how much coffee I use per brew and how long I run the infusion for. The consistency of every step is excellent! I also appreciate the low water alert feature - previous machines I have used only fail when the water runs out, but this one alerts you to refill the reservoir before it runs dry, ensuring you never airlock your pump. I also really like the Dosing Funnel attachment, this make the whole process mess-free! No more grounds scattered all over the countertop! Using the funnel when grinding keeps all the coffee in the brew filter while you tamp it down with the included tamper (which stores away very handily in it's magnetic storage bay). While I don't often use the steam wand to froth milk (I drink my coffee black) when I do, it works flawlessly and is easy to keep clean. I highly recommend this machine for people who really enjoy coffee and want the best tase for the least hassle.

Exceptional machine for the home barista
This is an upgrade on my Sage Barista Express (also an excellent machine) and I’m already enjoying the significantly faster times to heat up, create steam, foam milk, and be ready for the next cup. I’m still working on fully dialling in the extraction but I’m already seeing the potential for improved coffee quality. Reading some of the other reviews, I think it’s important to point out that this is NOT a bean-to-cup machine. It’s primarily a manual operation and you need to understand or want to learn the fundamentals of grind, dose, tamp, and extraction to get good results. Honestly, my first three pulls were terrible. I can imagine anyone expecting to press a button and get a good cup would be sorely disappointed. For me, I love the process of making my own coffee and continually experimenting and improving. With patience and skill, this machine will develop sweeter, richer, tastier espressos and lattes than you can find in most coffee shops. You will be fully rewarded for your investment in the machine, finding your perfect extraction, and using high quality, fresh beans. If you want to push a button, buy a Nespresso. If you want to be a superstar home barista, this is your next purchase. Hats off to Amazon for speed of delivery - only 13 hours from order to doorbell ring!

Higher effort, but much higher reward
We bought this in March knowing we were about to spend an insane amount of time at home. Firstly, this is a lot more work then a Nespresso machine. You’ll have to clean up mess after every grind, tamp and shot. It takes about 3-5 minutes of effort to get a latte out of the machine. Also, every day, or other day, you’ll need to give the trays an empty, rinse and wash down to keep it all pristine. However, the quality it produces is miles better than any instant machine. It’s also heaps better than other bean-to-cup machines we tried like the highly rated Beko. Everything can be dialled to taste, including grind volume, size, and shot extraction. My wife is now a pro barista, and we’re doing our bit for the environment by not promoting wasteful capsule systems (despite being diligent about recycling very capsule). It’s not cheap, but for us it’s been worth every pound.

The Barista Pro Grinder Failed within 7 months.
I bought The Barista Pro on the 17/6/25 and it was going great guns until this morning "12/1/26" which is about 7 months of usage. I went to make a coffee this morning and heard the grinder making a high pitched screeching noise " See Short Video" Upon contacting Amazon about it, they have agreed to issue a refund so I can order a replacement as the seller in this case is 3rd party. Its a pain sending it back as its a heavy machine but what do you do.

Great if it doesn't break down
Bought this in May 2024 It then recently developed a problem with the steam wand and producing steam. This culminated in it now not working at all, despite total cleaning. Amazon will not arrange for an engineer to visit and repair it. I am expected to arrange and pay a 3rd Party to come and collect it after I package it and print a return label. Amazon say they then will cover that cost. I've told them I am not doing this and quite possibly try to sell it on EBay and let someone else come and collect it. I believe that maybe it was an early manufactured machine, now proven unreliable. However when working properly this is a great machine and I am about to order a new one with 'fingers crossed' and hope it is reliable!

I saw another review saying that even the fine grind is too coarse and when I pulled the first cup that was my initial impression too BUT you can adjust the burr grinder to a much finer grind and that will COMPLETELY change the whole experience so make sure to do that. You have to remove the grinder, there are YouTube guides for it. The machine is very good, some coffee knowledge required but you can pull an amazing espresso.

I bought this in January from Amazon AE (though shipped and sold by Amazon UK). After ten days, I started to notice huge vibrations and then water leakage from various parts and surfaces (including underneath) when steaming milk. I had to return this back to the UK and incurred the shipping fees unjustifiably even though it is a damaged and defective product. Amazon AE is not cooperating even though they are the actual seller. It is highly recommended to buy directly from the certified retailer on Sage website to avail warranty / replacement. Otherwise Amazon is of no use.

the machine is great and works well, but in description said it comes with dosing funnel and with baratza burrs and it didn't, this is not the upgraded version, other than that machine looks amazing and espresso quality is improved from my bambino
