I have not been able to find a better quality knife at a lower price anywhere. It's important to realize that the swiss have been making excellent Knives for many centuries. The tradition of quality and excellence continues with a simple Servated knife. Why? The knife handle hugs your hand. It is incredibly sharp and functional. In the quality of the steel is excellent. There is not a chinese knife made that can compete even for 1/10th of the price. I own many victorinox Knives, and they simply can't be beat. Swiss quality is second to no one in the world.

Years ago, a guide used a small Victorinox knife to help me clean and process wild game - taking the animal from field to the table. I had a more expensive hunting blade, but the Victorinox was much sharper and the small profile was much more effective. Since then I have bought a couple and use them in the kitchen regularly. This particular one was purchased for my mother-in-law who needed a small, sharp knife to prepare food in her apartment. I like the rounded point for safety reasons, since she is an elderly lady. I actually have one just like it. Price point is great for the quality of the blade. Highly recommend!

This is my third one of these knives. I bought two a number of years ago, and they are very versatile in the kitchen. Still useful, but wanted a new one for slicing tomatoes very thin. They are great for cutting veggies, ciabatta bread, and also perfect as a steak knife, too.

Original one I have was received as a gift. So impressed that I now gift it as well. Incredibly sharp. REALLY sharp. So warn your recipient ahead of time to watch their fingers. This utility knife is the best kitchen knife I've had and I've been cooking for a long, long, long time. It just glides thru anything it cuts. No jagged edges. Smooth cuts. And every inch of it is SHARP as can be. Recently ordered the Swiss knife version so I could safely take it on picnics, tailgating and other outdoor adventures. So impressed with Victorinox knives that I'm contemplating the steak knives to see if they will be better than the ones we have. This utility knife is definitely a great knife. Highly recommend for personal use and to give as a gift..

I bought several of these knives to replace similar German-made ones that gave years of service, but were no longer available and failing due to deterioration in the handle tangs. This knife is equivalent in size, feel and performance to the ones I'm replacing. While more expensive (x3) versions with riveted handles are available, this Swiss knife is a very good value, not fussy (dishwasher safe), and I highly recommend it. This is one of my most useful knifes in the kitchen drawer, perfect for slicing soft fruit and bakery items and an occasional stand-in for a steak knife.

I've had one of these knives for over a decade and it's still going strong, albeit a bit duller than before, so bought this one to supplement it. This knife can cut through all sorts of fruits, vegetables, breads, it's super comfortable and versatile. It's a great tool that's more useful than a lot of those big kitchen knife sets.
