Yes good enclosure, this is the only one I have with the USB A male to USB A male, but works very well and will stop me mixing things up. Very easy to pop the HDD into and works straight away and did not drop out like a previous caddy I bought a few years back. Good product, good price a speedy delivery.

I had a spare SSD which i wanted to use as extra storage for laptops in the house. I chose this due to the tool less design by the same brnad as one of my SSDs. It was easy to install my SSD inside and worked just fine. There is a switch to turn off the drive without disconnecting which is great for backup devices. However the cheap plastic case lacks a quality feel which i have had from other enclosures at a similar price point and the annoying bright blue LED indicating that its on cant be turned off and its a bit jarring in a clean setup or darkened area. Not bad for the money and easy to use but details sometimes spoil a good product

Fitted various Kingston and other branded SSD from 120gb to 1tb. Forgot the turn on the "on" switch at the start and thought I had a dead on arrival enclosure at first! Otherwise been running perfectly between a number of different laptop devices call week. Speed of drives access dictated by the physical drive, enclosure meets that expectation. This product has saved my life! I broke the connector part in my old Seagate external drive, where the cable goes into the drive. I googled if I could get my data back and found out that I can buy something called an encasement. I ordered this - watched a Youtube video of how to remove the metal harddrive from the Seagate drive and put it in this one. Very easy process when you know how. So grateful that this product works so well!

This is a high quality product. Flawless operation with Integral SSD (other SSD brands are available 😀); a very cost effective combination.

Purchased this enclosure to use with 1TB HDD drives removed after an SSD upgrade. Unit is well made and feels solid with no tools required to inserts drives. Use Sabrent before and pleased with purchase.

A nice simple enclosure.Cable length is adequate but your mileage may vary. I use SSD's in these and have no heat issues. The cable is USB A on both ends.
