I am a small single person so like convenient one person portions ready to serve. They work well with the Wothfav Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer. When I cook a batch of yam ahead and cut them into small pieces to have with a meal I was tired of them spoiling in such a short time. So I use these small mason jars with foods like yams but with the oxygen vacuum removed. Days later when I open one for a meal, the food is still fresh and the amount just right..so much more satisfying.

When you take the time to pick some berries and make jam or preserves, it is nice to have some little containers so you can share your efforts with others. They are also just the right size for sous vide individual cheesecakes and creme brûlée. Just use a lot of care with the butane torch - it is easy to break the glass if you hold the flame in one place for too long.

The jars I received are not wide mouth jars. While disappointed, I will keep the jars.

Jars are decorative, complete with rings and seals. For shipping to me, each was carefully wrapped in padding and not touching another jar. Very Impressive.
