Worked perfect
Used it to put auto bed feed on my Grizzly lathe. Good for the money and did the job well.

Good small nemas!
Got this as a replacement for an over sized nema23 on my DIY CNC. This one is about half the weight ( big one is about 1.6kg ) and really cuts down on my weight issues for the gantry. Cut out 700+grams from the gantry, but still provides enough torque to move my Zaxis spindle assembly.

Solid motor with good reputation
I normally pick these up over at open builds, but they were out of stock and the price hhttps://www.amazon.com/review/create-review/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_wr_but_top?ie=UTF8&channel=glance-detail&asin=B00PNEPF5Iere was very competitive. The Nema 23's are used pretty extensively in CNC applications, which is what I'm using mine for. Enough power for light aluminum at a decent speed. I gave this four stars instead of five as one out of the four I purchased was bad, and caused me to have to tear apart my machine to replace. I had to re-solder wires, etc. and caused some down time and headache. I think generally they are generically pretty reliable, but in my case I got a dud that was working intermittently. I would still recommend them, despite my little setback or a 25% failure rate. I will also add that the units that come from Open builds have a wire sheath to contain the four wires, and it makes for a nicer appearance. This particular unit does not have that. It's a little thing, but I like a clean appearance to my builds.

Excellent quality motor; not really for use with commonly available small motor drivers.
Excellent quality motor. Keep in mind that this Nema 23 motor draws 2.8A per phase (two phase motor) so it should not be driven by small motor drivers. Follow the advice given in the "questions" section and pickup a motor driver that handles this beast. I picked up a few decent ones from ebay and love this thing. It has plenty of torque and speed for my application. I am looking into getting a tiny motor controller or a gshield.

Beefy stepper motor, doesn’t loose steps
Very good beefy stepper motor. I used it with a 100$ linear stage on amazon to drag a large object in sand and it worked beautifully. I would suggest hook it up to a high current power supply (2-3A) and use heat sinks on the motor to cool it down.

Accurate and durable.
I use it for making jigs for woodworking and it always stops exactly at the steps I program it to. Never seen it skip a step. I’ve bought a few with a few spares but have yet never had to replace any.
