Trichotillomania: An ACT-enhanced Behavior Therapy Approach Workbook (Treatments That Work)

I am a therapist and got this for a friend of mine who is suffering from Trichotillomania. I really like the way that it's laid out...very simple to understand. I also like that there is a therapist's workbook that you can purchase to go along with it. I am considering purchasing that as well for potential future clients with this disorder. However, I will say that it is a lot smaller than I thought, only about 80 pages. Good content though!

The workbook and therapist guide are very good companions to Douglas W.Woods text 'Tic Disorders, Trichtillomania, and Other Repetitive Behavior Disorders'. The worksheets are available to download which makes this great value for money as it can be used with multiple clients. The therapist guide is a simplified version of the treatment program without the more detailed discussion of the research from which these methods have been derived. Very good if you just want a quick course or refresher. Also easily adapted for use with other repetitive behaviour disorders.

Truthfully, I've looked the book over and it appears to be thorough, well written and insightful. I haven't actually read it or worked through the questions yet. Wish me luck!

Excellent book for working with clients suffering from the condition. Definitely worth the investment if you work with a wide variety of clients who suffer from various disorders.

Good info, but disappointed I am unable to fill out pages in the workbook on the Kindle version. Would be much more useful if I could print out pages.

This was very helpful, in conjunction with the therapist guide, for work with a client with trichotillomania.
