We researched various air purifiers and decided to purchase two Airfree Onix 3000 Filterless Air Purifiers. After using the Airfree for only a few days, we started noticing an immediate difference in the quality of the air in our rental condominium. The musty, stale odor that would never dissipate was gone. We placed the Airfree in the main living area and one in our bedroom. The main area of mold is in the basement. However, having these two filters in the home has made a huge difference. While we are seeking a new living environment, these purifiers are making the situation more bearable while staying in this rental. I highly recommend this product if you are in need of a purifier that can achieve 100% efficiency at destroying allergens, mold, viruses, bacteria, dust mites, pet dander, organic pollutants, pollens, tobacco, and ozone pollutants. One nice feature is that the Airfree uses Filterless technology so you won’t have to invest in extra costs of purchasing replacement filters. The purifier is completely silent. I was worried that any noises from the Airfree would keep me up at night since I’m a light sleeper. However, I’ve had no issues sleeping with this quiet purifier. It has a night light feature which is a blue light that provides enough lighting to see, but is also not too bright to hinder sleeping. I like that the purifier is small and easily portable. It is a low energy consumption purifier that is clean and environmentally friendly. There are no ozone or ion emissions. The Airfree awarded design definitely is “the blend between design and efficiency.” The Airfree is available in over 50 countries and has been rated among the highest-quality air purifiers in the US. You can have confidence in this purifier that reduces harmful microbiological pollutants in the air in a natural manner without the use of filters or dangerous chemicals. When it works, it is very effective. My allergy symptom is noticeably better. This thing has a temperature sensor that will shut off the heating element when it thinks it is "too hot" . The problem is that the senor has a tendency to get stuck in the "too hot" position. When it does that, the heating element will stay off, which means the unit is useless. I tried opening up the unit and cannot find a reset button. Finally, out of desperation, I unplug it and put it in the freezer for an hour to make sure it 'knows' it is "too cold". Amazingly, after I took it out of the freezer, it started working. The nice thing is, to do this trick, You don't even need to use a screw driver to open it up. Nice! I put a thermostat near the top of Airfree, it is reading 92F and still raising. If your unit has a lower reading, it is probably not working. Some reviewer reported that Airfree does not work if you have a HVAC system, due to fast air circulation. I can offer a one data point that shows it _can_ work provided some conditions are satisfied. My home have a multi-zone set up, the zone I am using Airfree in is about 800 sq ft. I use two Airfree unit for this zone. I do have the AC for this zone "on" most of the time. Since the windows and the door in this zone are closed. Even with the almost constant air circulation, it is basically still a closed system. It is working fine for me. ***Note to Airfree design team and QA team. This is a great unit, but please fix that annoying temperature sensor!!!

I purchased this because my home contained visable mold and who knows what's hidden behind the drywall. In addition, the lower level of the home often had a funny smell (not really moldy, just funny, kind of earthy), and since I moved, the dog and cat are really itchy. I read one of the reviews for this product on another site where someone had a mold remediator come in 4 times and it didn't work, so I decided to try this first, since it's cheaper, and it is supposed to remove more than just mold. I plugged this in in the family room on the lower level. It originally gives off a mild burning smell that subsides after a few days. Soon, the lower level of my home had no more funny smells and both the cat and dog prefer to sleep in that room as opposed to all other rooms. I just ordered a second one for the mid level of my home and plan to get a smaller one for the bedroom. I'm very pleased with it. Don't know that it got rid of the mold, but it did get rid of the smell and both the dog and cat think it's doing a good thing, since they had no interest in that room prior to the Airfree. To me, that says a lot. Ok, had to edit this because I got the second airfree for the living room level and that's been running about 2 weeks now. They say it takes a month to work, but my itchy dog, who had rubbed all the hair off her eye and had large scabs on her rear by her tail (the vet was the one who originally put the air purifier idea in my head) has stopped rubbing her face, her eye's no longer red and it appears that the hair's even making an effort to regrow and all the scabs on her rear are gone! She's not on any meds for this either so that's not the cause of her improvement. This is more than I could have hoped for. She's much more comfortable and will now hang with us in the livingroom. I just ordered a small one for my bedroom. Now we'll see how it does on my morningtime stuffy nose :-) Ps. still no funny smells on the lower level!

Fantastic product, does exactly what it says with NO maintenance needed. I used to dust every second day, it took a week for the dust to build up to the same level. Air smelled fresh the first day, too. So great we ordered two more to cover areas other than our bedroom. It is silent and you can turn the light off fully, too, which we appreciate.

It had been on my wishlist for a long time and I’m delighted with the Airfree Onix 3000! I could feel it working within the first half hour. It also has a slight drying effect on the humidity which, for me, is an added bonus.

This product is easy to use and enjoy the fact that I do not have to replace with any filters. I plug it in and forget it. The display colours are an extra bonus. The one thing I really love about this product is that I noticed the subtle odour in my apartment unit was gone. I come home, enter my unit and absolutely no smell of mold or whatever that smell was which I could not get rid of. I recommended this product to my friends and family. It really works. In fact, I bought another one for my bedroom.
