Clear, quality optics, great price. Compare well to others costing far more
I am a beginner birder. Two years ago, I bought a higher-end pair of Monarchs for my wife. When we started comparing these to hers, we were very favorably impressed. These are high quality: great lenses, easy to focus and solid. There are no problems with stability, they are easy to use. Great for birding. The attached lens covers are a plus - otherwise I'm sure I'd lose them. As many have stated in other reviews, these are surprising for their price point and compare well to binoculars costing more than two times as much.

Excellent Binoculars
I bought these Celestron binoculars as a Christmas gift for my wife. We have several bird feeders in the back yard and she uses these binoculars to look at birds that come to feed. We have two old pairs of binoculars that she used for a years, but she loves the Celestron binoculars. They provide clear and crisp images of cardinals and bluebirds. I was pleasantly surprised at both the image clarity and detail when looking at hummingbirds. These binoculars are well built and sturdy. The fact that they are light weight is fantastic because they allow my wife to spend more time watching birds without tiring. I was able to get them on sale, which was an added bonus. I definitely recommend these binoculars.

Nice budget binoculars with quality still there!
Got these to take to the beach because I love sitting on the balcony with my beer looking out at the ocean plus looking up the boardwalk at all the sights and action. These came today so I tried them out for about an hour and was pleased with the optics and overall quality of these 10x42 Celestron. I paid the current price of $83 which is a fair price but I looked back when I had purchased the Celestron Skymaster 15x70 astronomical binoculars I purchased in 2012 and I only paid $69. I think these should have cost at least $15 less in all honesty but since COVID messed up trade and so many things this past year or so I guess it's to be expected. So look around for a price drop' I even seen video from only a year ago where they paid around $60 for these exact binoculars. That being said they are nice so overall satisfied at this point. Just lower the price a bit for us! My Skyview 15x70 are still working great and I trust the reputation of Celestron with my new ones.

Great quality at a low price.
Fantastic binoculars! The quality of the image they provide is outstanding. You can pay more than twice as much for the equivalent Nikon binoculars, and the Nikons would probably be better, but they would only be 5 or 10% better, not twice as good. The 8x42 are perfect for me for birding, sight seeing, sporting events and stuff like that. They are a good balance of magnification, wide field of view, and brightness (exit pupil). The higher magnification 10x42 would also be good for these things, but you give up some field of view with the higher magnification. The extra field of view is helpful for following birds that tend to move around. It is easier to find the birds, and keep them in view. Higher magnification also means more image shake, the 8 power is easier to hold still than 10 power. The larger exit pupil makes viewing easier, even in bright daylight, because you can see the full image circle, even if your eyes aren't perfectly lined up behind the eye peices.I where eye glasses and these binoculars work great with them, I have no trouble at all seeing the full image circle. I just fully retract the eye cups with a twist, and I'm good to go.The eye cups make viewing with out my glasses very comfortable, I just have to adjust the diopter. They are a medium to full sized binocular, but I find them light enough to cary around my neck all day. Lighter than my 7x50s ,but not quite as bright at dusk or for looking at the night sky. They are nitrogen purged and waterproof, so they won't fog up, on the inside, and you can use them in the rain with no worries. If they get dunked in the river when you are canoeing, they should be fine. All in all, I think that for the money they are excellent quality, and being nitrogen purged at this price makes them even a better buy.

Good for the money
These are not exactly state-of-the-art binoculars but for basic travel, sports, and bird watching they are pretty good. Sometimes I even take them to the beach wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean?

First time binocular purchase for birding ... a success!
I just received my new 8x42 binoculars and they are really nice. The quality is terrific. They have a suitable weight and are comfortable against the face, they are a breeze to use and adjust to clarity, making it easy to spot everything from a bird at the backyard bird bath, something in a tall tree, and clarify points on the mountain behind my home. I recommend for many outdoor uses.

Best Binocs I Own
Very pleased with these. Great magnification without sacrificing field of view. I wish the right eye diopter was a little tighter so it didn't drift out of adjustment so easily, but that's a very small thing. I almost always set the diopter with every use anyway, so no big deal. Other than that, these work as advertised. You can feel the quality when you hold them. Celestron is one of the top names in scopes and binoculars, so rest assured these aren't cheaply made.
