Dynarex Non-Woven Sponges, Non-Sterile Gauze, 4x4 - Box

I have purchased these non-woven sponges multiple times. They are fantastic. They are very soft and extremely absorbent. And the price is right. I sometimes become chafed in the inguinal area, and these do a good job of cleaning up the area and then to keep it dry until healing can take place. I've also used them to clean wounds. And to clean my cats ears. They do a very good job. Highly recommended.

Non-Sterile does not mean that the item is a dirty cloth that will contaminate you. Overall: Just what was expected. Yes it may say that it contains double the amount but if you research the items similar to this, you will find that this is the norm. Overall, great value and a product that is at least, if not above, average for what it is. After extensive searching and researching, this was the best option for plain and simple gauze/dressing that you would apply to a wound or under another type of bandage. One noteworthy aspect of this particular item, is that it is not individual packages AKA not a sterile piece each time you use the non-woven sponges (non-sterile as stated on the label in true full disclosure, deceit-free style). If you are in need of sterile packages of this item, you will have to pay for that specific (and very important) characteristic of the item. Depending on the circumstances, it is well worth spending a little bit more money on the bandage that will remain in a (sterile) package, than to end up with an infection in the hospital; ultimately costing more than just a bill. Time, grief, frustration and devastation are some of the repercussions to not be safer than sorry. This is just to stress the importance of proper wound care importance and the only thing that is a good enough reason (if necessary) to get the individual packages of this same item. For the situation in which the bulk, non-sterile item was purchased, there was no prominent threat of the aforementioned consequences. Therefore, this was an excellent purchase and I recommend it to anyone that has a similar situation and wants the BEST option to get the most of your purchase. Hope this helps and the wounds of whomever is using the item also are aided in healing through using them.

Good for people but not pets they will rip it right off the second you put it on them in use them for makeup remover it work better

I guess I wasn't paying attention and bought these when I truly needed individual sterile sponges. For non-sterile use these work just fine.
