I've been wearing YSL OPIUM since it was introduced waay back in the 1980's and, for me it's my signature scent. When I wear it I am reminded of literally decades of happy memories. I've always liked how it's such a nuanced scent - not exactly spicy, kind of (I think) sexy and not to be duplicated. When Cinnabar was introduced as a poor copy all of us OPIUM lovers laughed. Neither the cheap or the better scent imitators came close and BLACK OPIUM is like the NEW COKE disaster if anyone remembers back that far. It's not all that easy to buy OPIUM ORIGINAL- that unfortunate smelling BLACK OPIUM is everywhere but I searched for OPIUM ORIGINAL at the best price and Amazon beat all the perfume outlets and thier coupon codes and promotions. Yeah I complain about Amazon and how they jerk customers around changing the promised delivery date 10 days later than the delivery date I was promised when I purchased something making me cancel the order because it's a dishonest trick by Amazon - yes Jeff Bezos I blame YOU! However time and time again Amazon has what I want at a price I'm comfortable with. So if you have the opportunity to sample OPIUM ORIGINAL. I think it's loyal fans are somewhat original themselves and I hope you find your true self in that bottle. Really who wants a scent designed by someone who never even met the celebrity whose name is on the scent I hope you aren't wearing right now? You be you girl!

Fabulous!!! Only scent I will wear. Very sensual, always getting reaction, “WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?” Men especially love it. Exotic.

My wife’s favorite perfume

First thing I did when the packaged arrived was bathed myself in this amazing scent. My mother wore this all through my childhood and it has always been a favorite fragrance of mine. I don't understand why it's so hard to find and why it's not in the stores. I am grateful that I found it on Amazon. I have been wearing black opium for years. Don't get me wrong. That is also an amazing fragrance but it's not the same as the original. I have been missing the scent of the original opium that I remember so fondly from the '70s and '80s. This is the most amazing scented cologne ever and I will be ordering more. Thank you for bringing back so many fond memories.
