Crystal Clear Conversations: My Experience with the Jabra Drive
I purchased the Jabra Drive Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone about nine months ago, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision! I placed it on my visor and it has been there ever since unless I charge it up, which has been infrequent due to the exceptional battery life. The sound quality is outstanding, providing crystal-clear audio that makes conversations feel natural, even at highway speeds. The dual-microphone technology effectively filters out background noise, ensuring that my voice comes through loud and clear. Friends and family have commented on how much better my calls sound compared to my previous speakerphone, which is a huge plus for me. One of the standout features is the exceptional battery life. I can go days, and even months, without needing to recharge, which is a game-changer for someone who spends a lot of time on the road. The setup process was a breeze, and the intuitive controls allow me to answer calls and adjust the volume without taking my hands off the wheel. With its sleek design and solid build quality, the Jabra Drive has exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality hands-free calling solution!

works better than I expected
I love my Jabra Drive. I bought it because I find that I often don't have my ear piece handy when calls come in while I'm in the car and my ear piece drains after about 1 hour of talk time. The directions to pair the Jabra Drive with my phone were easy to understand and it paired quickly and easily. Additionally it keeps a charge forever. I often forget to turn it off and just leave it on for days at a time but it has not ever died on me. I am not a person who constantly talks on it hours per day so I don't know how that would work out as far as the charge is concerned, but I have used it on the road and speaking to some of my chattier friends, so there have been times that I used it for an hour straight. I have had it for more than a month and I have only recharged it once and that was just because I felt like I should. When on a call I can hear clearly and no one has ever complained of not being able to hear me. It is very easy to answer a call, end a call, redial, or turn the volume up or down without taking your hand off the wheel but for a quick second and without looking. The first day I got it, I found that I focused on it a lot but after that I use it without thinking. It operates just like the Jabra earpiece so if you already have one of those, you don't need to re-learn anything. It stays in place on the visor and does not move around.

Works well, simple to use, but "Sleep mode" is lacking
I got the Jabra Drive for my wife's car and since she has zero tolerance for anything that takes more than 30 seconds to learn how to use, I specifically chose this model based on it being marketed as simple to use. In that regard, it does live up to it's billing. However ... The marketing collateral says "...it will connect automatically whenever you get into the car" and this is just not true. Once I read the actual user guide, which by the way - has to be downloaded from the Jabra site - it makes it pretty clear how it actually works. What the Jabra Drive will do is go into "Sleep mode" when the phones it is connected to go out of Bluetooth range (~50 feet). Then if one of the phones comes back into range within 10 minutes it will automatically connect and go back into "Standby mode" and you are good to make and receive calls. Otherwise, the Jabra Drive will automatically shut off to save battery life. To reconnect, you have to slide the itty-bitty on-off switch to off and then back on again, at which point it will confirm you are connected by saying so. So the point is that "...it will connect automatically whenever you get into the car" only applies if you get back into the car within 10 minutes from when you left. Good to know ... That all said; it will connect to two phones simultaneously which is a pretty handy feature in that both my wife and daughter can use the unit together or separately without me needing to reconfigure anything, which is a blessing. Also, pairing was very easy - probably the easiest I've experienced with all the various Bluetooth products I've used. So my recommendation to anyone looking to purchase the Jabra Drive is to understand the caveat regarding Sleep mode and as long as that's not a show stopper for you - the product pretty much works as advertised. Note to Jabra: I suggest once the device goes into sleep mode it could be "awakened" by pressing the "Answer/end" button instead which would be much SIMPLER for the user instead of toggling the itty-bitty on-off switch. Just sayin' ...

Voices Muddled
I purchased the Jabra Drive based upon several reviews and Jabra's reputation. The product was delivered in a timely manner. Setting up the Drive was very easy. Instructions were clear. Calls out were heard by the recipient clearly (i.e. the microphone worked well) However, the voices on the other line were consistently borderline unintelligible, even when stopped. I am not sure if this was a singularly defective item or just the limits of the small speaker. I would love to give a better review but can't.

One of the best products I have ever used in this category. Great utility. Fantastic voice quality and great battery life. I have been sing it for the last 7 years and bought this 3 times till now. Reduces the surrounding noise even dratically. Strongly recommended. Seller and packaging also good.

I've been looking at this for a while and let me say I'm extremely satisfied. Currently using this in the car ( old Taurus 2002) that has no audio input for any type of multi media options. Well for a small Bluetooth speaker , no complaints there. So far in 1 month usage : good playback for music played from iPhone , in calls some relatives mentioned to me that the reception was great and better than my regular headphones and finally it's small and compact. The only negative point I can give it is the small noise alert that notifies you when battery is low as mentioned in other reviews but so far not that much of a dramatic drawback . Honestly no complaints here and really my first experience with Bluetooth dongles. Good purchase and happy about the quality of the product. Worth a look !
