Can this fir a 25 oz Contigo thermal?

Happy to Help. I went to the kitchen draw where I had to choose from a ruler, a sewing tape or a tape measure. Having chosen a measuring device I measure said cup. It measured 3.5 inches wide by 9 inches tall. Going to the web site I checked the dimensions of the bag stated by the manufacture. They were 4 inches in diameter by 10.5 inches tall. It certainly appears that your cup will fit easily with room to spare.

Will a 40 oz Hydroflask fit into this without any issues?

Definitely not niece has the 33oz hydro flask and my nalagrne 32oz fits snug into carrier her hydro flask is almost 1/3 bigger girth wise and cannot come close to fitting

Are there any elastic bands on the inside of the front pocket to hold pens, knife, leathermen, etc? Or is the inside bare?

Mine is bare. It is just a large pocket.
