Irreplaceable oily/combo and acne-prone type aid in achieving clean and hydrated skin.
This product is my holy grail of skin cleansing! I am only rarely as excited about a product as I am with this solution. I have a combination skin, with oiliness concentrated in between the eyebrows and nose area (and around it) only, the rest of the face is normal. I used to get occasional zits here and there and quite a few blackheads, but never acne, and also I rarely wore foundation/concealer of any kind. The first time I used Bioderma Solution was in 2014, and I actually substituted my whole skin cleansing step (I stopped using foaming cleansers and water to cleanse my skin) with it, and I did not regret it. My skin was more hydrated, less oily and most of all CLEAN very quickly, and after a while I did not have as many zits on my face, unless I used some new products that would trigger it. I used Bioderma for a year, and I did not re-purchase due to financial difficulties. I started using foaming cleansers again, and for a while it felt okay, but my skin clogged faster than it was cleaned, and in a few months it felt not as great. This made me realize what a good cleansing power Bioderma had. My skin is prone to occasional clogging, and a year ago for the first time in my life I got acne - the reason for that was caffeine, comedogenic sunscreen, stress with university deadlines and foaming cleansers. After eliminating those, I quickly switched to affordable micellar solutions, e.g., Garnier, but they left a sticky residue on my skin and I had to wipe my face with the solution several times (using several cotton pads) to see the pad clean. I re-purchased Bioderma Sebium shortly after, since for me acne meant I was going to wear foundation daily until it healed, and I needed something to deeply cleanse my skin morning and evening as well as get the make-up off. I was genuinely surprised, when my acne purging and healing sped up upon Bioderma introduction! For comparison, when I ran out of the bottle, I temporarily switched to other brands (L'oreal and Garnier micellar waters), and my progress somewhat hindered - it did not make it worse, but it wasn't nearly as good in purifying my skin. This was my story, my acne has healed, and Bioderma keeps those pores from clogging and skin hydrated, and it does not leave any tangible residue on the skin. As for the product characteristics, the solution smells incredibly pleasant; I find the cap on the bottle practical at preventing product wastage; I have never used versions smaller than 500ml, and 500ml bottle lasts me up to 5 months (depends on whether I use it to wipe of make-up or just cleanse the skin). All in all, Bioderma Sebium solution is a great product for combination, oily and acne-prone skin types, and it does not aggravate existing acne, but assists in healing it (tried and tested). It is pricey, but I would never switch to other affordable versions, since from my experience, most will be inferior to Bioderma. Drugstore micellar waters might be okay for people with okay skin, but for clog-prone skin it is important that the product delivers on its promise, and it is this product that does!

Mandatory in skincare regime.
A must-have product to cleanse your face and pores, especially with the horrors of London pollution. Absolutely superior to other micellar cleansing waters from other brands - a few drops on a cotton pad will clean your face well and you can literally see the dirt on the pad when you are done. Other brands may be cheaper, but you have to use more product, so it's a false economy in the end. I use it before my foam cleanser as the first step of my double-cleansing routine. I also use it in the mornings just to sweep my face, and after the gym because I don't want to strip my face with a harsh cleanser too many times a day. I have sensitive skin and it hasn't caused any reactions at all. Can definitely feel a difference in the cleanliness of my skin when I don't use it. I have also used the pink version that is supposed to be more gentle, and prefer this one as it is more effective at removing dirt and makeup. My partner also uses this product and his pore tone has definitely improved.

Bioderma micellar water green cap
Has a subtle fresh cucumber kind of scent, removes eye makeup effortlessly without irritation. Pricier than other brands but it was gentle on my sensitive skin in comparison to other micellar waters I’ve tried.

Satisfactory
Good as a quick cleanse and tone for the skin. Sometimes when I have stayed up late with revision or just watching TV, I cant always be bothered to do a full cleanse before bed so this is perfect.Quick and easy to use and I feel like my skin is being cleaned well enough. I wouldn't rely on it to take off all my make-up completely on its own though. Good for when you've had no make up on e.g first thing in the morning or as a prep before putting makeup on to make sure you have a clean base!

First off, if you've never used a micellar water/solution before , I strongly recommend giving them a shot. Micellar waters are a soap free non-rinse cleansing solution that gently and effectively removes makeup, dirt, and other debris on the skin by using micelle molecules that, when applied to the skin, encapsulates debris within the molecules which removes it from the skin without stripping and irritating even the most sensitive skin. It's all very scientific. There's a slew of information that you can find on micelle molecules and how they work. Micellar solutions can be used in a number of ways ( i.e. a makeup remover, toner, cleanser) and working them into your skin care routine can really save you a lot of time. After using a whole bottle of the pink version (which is for normal and sensitive skin) I decided to try this green version out (for oily and combination skin) when I needed to reorder because within the last year my skin has become excessively more oily in my T-zone and chin, yet exceptionally dry everywhere else. I really wanted to see what, if any, difference there was between the two. Since I still had a few applications worth in the pink bottle I decided to do a side by side comparison for a few days by using the pink version on one side of my face and using the green on the other. I typically use my micellar solution to remove my makeup and prep my skin for washing and cleansing with either my Murad Time Release Acne and Ant-Aging cleanser, or my Caudalie foaming cleanser. If I'm feeling particularly too lazy/tired, or if I'm not wearing any makeup I'll use it on its own. Both perform the same at successfully removing makeup and dirt, however I found that I had to use more of the pink solution than the green to achieve my desired results. Both are similarly gentle and refreshing and remove eye makeup without struggle or irritation, but again it seemed like the green removed more more quickly than the pink. The pink does tingle more than the green. If you use these solutions you know what I'm talking about. For those of you that don't, I say "tingle" because it's the only word I can think of to describe the sensation. It is not a burning, menthol, or medicated type of tingling. It's not uncomfortable or irritating by any means and is more strongly felt in more sensitive areas or areas that are more clogged than others. Also, it stops pretty quickly and is not felt once the solution has evaporated. I'm assuming that this tingle sensation is in part linked to the encapsulation of debris by the molecules before evaporation. If you've ever eaten Pop Rocks, imagine a gentler, much less extreme version of that sensation on your skin. In my side by side comparison I noticed that the side on which I used the green solution stayed grease-free longer than that of the pink. The green side also feels less taught after drying than the pink. Although, I hadn't noticed any tightness in feeling with the pink version before trying the green and comparing, so the difference is slight yet enough to notice. The pink version is clear, however the green is light blue in color. The ingredients are significantly different. I won't list them all here but I will point out that the pink version has cucumber extract whereas the green has ginkgo biloba extract instead. The green seems to have more ingredients than the pink and is NOT fragrance free like the pink one...BUT despite the fact the pink does not have any ADDED fragrance, it does have a smell. The pink version definitely smells stronger than the fragrance of the green. Oddly enough, the green smells like cucumber and rose. The fragrance of the green version is so slight it's almost unnoticeable upon application which causes me to believe it is included to either counteract any scent caused by an ingredient the pink version does not have, or for those who don't like the way the pink one smells. The pink has a slight tinge of chemical smell but primarily (and this is just what it smells like to me and the best way I can describe it) it smells like dirt. Yep. Dirt. Literal earth. Almost the way dirt smells after it rains. It's not horrible or overly offensive to me personally, it's just much stronger. If you're trying to choose between the two, the added fragrance and the smell of each might be a big determining factor. Another pro for the green is that I paid almost $10 less for the bigger bottle (500 ml) than I ended up paying for the smaller (250 ml) bottle of the pink. I realize this is relative and depends on sellers, availability, and location (the 250ml pink bottle was purchased at $34 before shipping from over sea's). Do I like one more than the other? Not really, although, I think the green version suits my personal skin needs better than the other at this point in time. They both are exceptional at what they do. Micellar solutions have become an integral part of my beauty regiment. These bottles last quite awhile and have removed my need to buy cleansing wipes and other makeup removers, which tend to break me out eventually. I hope this review was helpful to those trying to decide which product is right for you. Everyone's skin and needs are different and to say "this ones better" or "that ones better" as a blanket statement doesn't really help anyone make an informed choice, IMO.
