A very nice bass octave!! It feels like I have a Boss in terms of sturdy housing.

Works well to add some body to the sound, but the tracking on the G string and on low end is bad. There is a dead spot on the G string 5th fret and the pitch goes down for no reason around the 14th fret. I switched to my older P bass and the tracking is a bit better overall, but the 5th and 14th fret are still not functioning properly. I don't know if my unit is defective, but removing the dry sound is not an option, the octaves alone barely works on their own, the sound comes out delayed, or not at all for half of the notes.

Me encanto replicar mi sonido al dibujar, en una escala más grave y no perder el sonido gordo de mi bajo

I think MXR did a fantastic job with their recreation of the Boss OC-2. It sounds very close to the real thing at a fraction of its size and much cheaper price tag. Like the OC-2 its not the greatest at tracking, but it works well when u follow some basic guidelines that anyone will tell u to do when using the OC-2. Tighten up your playing so your only playing one note at a time, stay above the 5th-7th fret, use passive pickups, use the neck pickup, and keep your right hand fingering the strings closer to the neck. Its definitely an effect that u have to play to. Once u figure it out its really fun to play, but u should give the OC-2 a good amount of research before choosing to buy the MXR Vintage Bass Octave. Its not for everyone.
