I purchased FENLERN cycling shoes and they came with some cheapo cleats that disintegrated pretty quick and wouldn't lock on. The shoes are comfortable, but the cleats were just awful. I figured to buy a different set of shoes but when I got them, they weren't as comfortable as the fenlern's. These clips did the trick instead! Must stronger, easy to clip on and off. Well worth it. Thanks!

From the reviews of comparable products, I paid the extra money for the Shimano product. They work fine. Easy to install. Just slight loose-ness in YMCA spin class clips. HOWEVER, for a second pair of shoes I ordered pair of much less expensive clips. They arrived with a helpful wrench for installation (the Shimanos did not). Same ease of install. Just half the price! Not worth the premium price.

I used these on my Pearl Izumi studio cycling shoes. They fit the shoe perfectly and really up our fitness game for our indoor cycle.

Some other reviewers noted that they received what appeared to be counterfeit versions. I received genuine Shimano cleats, and they installed with no problems. I have another set with around 10,000 miles on them, and they are still fine. I just bought another set for a new pair of shoes. Also note that at least a couple of reviewers "installed" these in some multi-purpose mount style shoes (apparently) and they installed the threaded plate OUTSIDE the shoe!!! Then they left horrible reviews. The plate goes inside the shoe, whether you bought the cleat set with the plates or the plates came with the shoes, and ideally it is a shoe specifically intended for Shimano SPD style cleats for best results.

I have used the SH-51 for probably close to 20 years. Shimano makes two common versions of SPD cleat, the SH-51 and the SH-56. The main difference is that the SH-56 is a little easier to unclip. On a bike you need to unclip quickly when you stop, or you won't be able to get your feet down fast enough to keep from falling over. I have a recumbent trike (two wheels in the front and a low lawn chair-like seat). With the trike, I rarely need to unclip unless I'm getting off so the unclip speed isn't an issue. The same applies to spinning. The main disadvantage with the SH-56 is that it's sometimes too easy to unclip and you can unclip unexpectedly. That's mostly just an annoyance when spinning but potentially a hazard if your unclipped foot hits the ground and gets pulled under the trike. I recommend the SH-51 for recumbent trikes and spinning. Bike riders would probably need to test both types and decide which is better for their application.

Poner las calas de Shimano y todo vuelve a ir suave, cogen a la primera y para sacar la zapatilla del pedal con un movimiento lateral saltan sin problemas.
