Great hat to keep the sun off your head.
I have used this hat on a couple of trips now and it has held up well. It is water esistant and comfortable in hot weather (Arizona desert). It's reasonably priced, and i would purchase it again

Good hat, but still need to wear sunscreen on face!
Wore this hat while backpacking the Camino for a month. The hat was good, stayed on really well and because it was so lightweight, it didn't feel like it was going to fly off even in really windy weather. Unfortunately, the bottom half of my face would still get sunburnt even if I wore the hat for the entire day. Even though I couldn't feel the sun, I would find sunburns from under my eyes to my chin if I forgot to reapply. But the hat itself was breathable and seemed to do well protecting my neck and the top hat of my face. I honestly would buy again, it was a decent hat and was perfect for putting in my backpack, it folded easily with no creases. Color was accurate and is adjustable around your head and under your chin, so it should fit pretty much anyone.

Good value for price.
Good hat for the money. Cost $15.00 when I purchased. Provides good sun coverage and has head width adjustment so it should work with most head sizes. Has hold down strap so in wind or if you want it on your back when not on your head. I own the navy blue version as well. Washes easily in washer delicate cycle. Has ventilation area above brim.

very nice sun hat, easily fits a larger head, but not worth double the price of the competition
I also have a Tru-Spec boonie hat that I also like, but mostly use as a spare (stored in the car). TRU-SPEC Boonie, One Size, Khaki Compared to the Tru-Spec hat, this Columbia hat is more expensive, lighter weight (2.8 ounces vs 3.8 ounces), and more breathable. The Tru-Spec hat uses the same fabric throughout, while Columbia uses a lightweight, part-mesh fabric on the top (more breathable) and a stiff fabric for the brim (less likely to droop over my eyes). The Columbia hat has 3 inch brims (vs 2.5 inches for Tru-Spec) for more sun coverage, though perhaps a little more bulky and more likely to snag tree branches. Tru-Spec is a poly-cotton ripstop, while Columbia is all nylon. I have a larger head (size 7.5) and both hats fit me with plenty of room to spare. Both hats have a tightening cord in back, which works great. Both hats also have a chin strap, which is very handy in the wind. Minus one star because the price for the Columbia hat is now $28 (was $18 when I bought it). The Tru-Spec hat is only $12. While the Columbia hat is a little more breathable, it is certainly not twice as good as the Tru-Spec hat.

Super lightweight and protective from sun
The Columbia Bora Bora Hat has quickly become one of my go-to accessories for outdoor adventures! Whether I’m hiking, fishing, or just out in the sun, this hat provides the perfect blend of comfort and protection. The lightweight, breathable fabric makes it super comfortable to wear for long periods. The Omni-Shade UPF 50 sun protection is a game changer, keeping me safe from harmful UV rays while I’m outside. Plus, the moisture-wicking sweatband is great for keeping my forehead dry, even on the hottest days. One of the best features is the adjustable chin strap, which ensures the hat stays on securely, even on windy days. The wide brim offers excellent shade, and the ventilation holes help keep my head cool and well-ventilated. Not only is it functional, but the hat also looks great and has a casual yet sporty style that matches with any outdoor outfit. The Columbia Bora Bora Hat is a must-have for anyone who spends time outside and wants both style and sun protection.

Nice! Wide brim, cool, breathable
This hat is great! I was outside in 100 degree heat for 5 hours and my face/neck didn’t get fried. This hat is VERY breathable, my head never got hot, and the design is nice, too. I like that it is washable (I put it on gentle cycle in a garment bag). I was able to use the strap to secure it when it got a little windy and when I was more active. The color is a light, muted yellow IMO, but definitely yellow. I like the idea of being more visible in the woods, so it’s exactly what I wanted.

Nice color. Keeps the sunburn away!
The hat is comfortable and keeps the sun off my face and neck during high altitude hikes. The top is light enough to let air through, and the brim is sturdy enough not to fall in my face. The strap keeps it on my head in the wind. I like the red rocks color. I wish this hat had snaps so I could pin up the sides sometimes. My old hat (that I lost at Yellowstone) had that feature and I really liked it. I may take this one to a tailor to have them added.

Great all around hat forsun or rain
Columbia sun hats are great they can be folded up and fit anywhere they don't fade from the Sun and they allow plenty of air flow in the heat I have three of them I carry one around in my motorcycle trunk and I keep one in my travel bag and one I wear most of the time I have a fairly large size head I wear a 3X helmet and a 7 and 7/8 hat and this fits just about right and it has a drawstring for adjustment

If the brim was marginally more rigid, this would be an easy 5-star review. It's a little floppy for my tastes, but I wear an Akubra a lot of the time. That said, it's my definite go-to for hiking, fishing, and walking the dogs. Worth every cent.
