Great budget headphones
I bought these as good as new and they were!. They are of a decent quality and the over ear cuff is very spongey. The padding on the headband is ok for most people, it may start to become uncomfortable after a couple of hours. The main pro is ofc the amazing sound quality. For me it is clear, rich and has enough bass to really enjoy your music. They are definitely worth it as a budget headphone

Sennheiser HD 400S. Best sound for music on the move
I originally gave 5 stars because of the value for money and sound quality. However, others here have said they are somewhat uncomfortable, which is valid. I don't have large ears, I can only listen for relatively short periods, but they suit my purpose. It's important to get a good price. The sound quality is better than I could have imagined at the price I paid. I have professional headphones by beyerdynamic and these sound just as good. The beyerdynamic ones are much more expensive and much more comfortable for long periods. I bought the HD 400S to listen to music on the move. The fold up and are light. They are comfortable enough for the time I'm out and about. The cups do cover the ears, but the ear fits into the cup. They are not 'active noise cancelling', they use passive sound damping: they cover the ears. The sound is so good. I'm particularly impressed with the bass response. I was listening to Mountain and I could hear all the bass notes clearly defined. They seemed to have improved with use. There's no fatigue listening to them. To my ears the sound is fairly neutral and natural sounding. I avoided bluetooth and in ear phones. I didn't want active noise cancelling. The sales assistant at the store I went to couldn't understand this. I sent for them off Amazon and I'm glad I stuck to my guns. This is the best sound quality for music, so far, I've found on the move (spotify in my case). If you get a good price and put sound quality above fancy tech, these are a no brainer.

Great budget headphones.
Bought for my partner to use with her Roland electric piano. These headphones are priced as a BUDGET buy, but the sound quality is EXCELLENT and the ear cushions are very COMFORTABLE to wear for longer periods. She can practice with no distractions without disturbing anyone else in the house while doing so. RECOMMENDED.

Poor quality sound.
I purchased the same item a number of years ago. They still work fine and the sound quality remains good especially for the price point. Open sound. Fairly bright. The sound on the new pair is very bad. Veiled muffled sound. I won’t be using them. I haven’t decided yet whether to return them. Apart from that everything else about them makes them appear to be genuine.

Great value
Great headphones, nice punchy and vibrant sound quality, very portable and easy to carry around. If you are considering buying these headphones get them on Amazon rather than Argos because you can save £35.

Great initially but bad long term
Got as a gift, bf really likes them They’re comfy, good sound quality and no sound leaking, however they have stopped working in one ear after a month or two

Leaving a bad impression on the Sennheiser brand for newcomers.
Before I start. I have purchased many high end products from Sennhesier from headphones to audio equipment and professional microphones. This product is a joke compared to the rest at the current price it is listed for, I'm comparing these to my Sennheiser Momentum 4s which retail for £300. First of all, the design is awful. The materials are cheap and squeaky and the ear cups are stiff and tiny. The momentum 4 has a more bespoke material which feels soft on your ears and doesn't put asmuch pressure as the HD400s which allows for longer listening times before it hurts. It also has a head padding on the top which the 400s don't. The plastic is easy to scratch and feel like those £20 turtle beach headsets you buy for your kid. The logo is really badly printed on unlike the Momentum 4 with its 3d textured logo and minimalist look. The folding is alright but will probably get loose overtime however its more compact than the Momentum 4s. The case is funny though, the Momentum 4 has all the accessories you need and a hard case yet the HD400s is a cheap flimsy bag. Not ergonomical. The headphones look stupid when extended for bigger heads as you can obviously see that on the HD400s but the Momentum 4s have took that into account and designed the headphones to slide without making it obviously you have extended them. Audio quality no using HIFI audio file formats and a EQ setup. The HD400s are quiet and sound Hollow like the cheap plastic. No clear definition in bass and tremble but they work. They are not god awful but not going to give you an eargasm. On the other hand the Momentum 4 has strong bass good tremble and is on another level when you hear the difference. It actually uses the HIFI audio for its potentials. The design of the box it came in meets with the signiture sennheiser design but the unlike their other products. The inside of the HD400s was just cheap plastic unlike all their other products that use recycled materials and lay it out that it feels like a luxury product. Overall all the other 5 star reviews are a joke, they have never felt good quality sennhesier products and think that these are decent. You are wrong. I'm sorry on behalf of the real consumers who now have newcomers with a bad impression of the brand.

A very good sound quality, and what’s important to me, it gives loud sound so I can work even with lower volume level therefore I can recommend this Sennheiser’s model in 100%, great price/quality indicator.

As a new podcaster, I have recently discovered the Sennheiser Over Ear Headphones HD 400S in black, and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. As someone who has always been a music listener, I knew I wanted a high-quality audio experience when it came to podcasting, but I wasn't quite sure where to start. The HD 400S has definitely exceeded my expectations without breaking the bank. First of all, the sound quality of these headphones is exceptional. The HD 400S delivers a balanced and clear sound across the entire frequency spectrum. The bass is punchy, but not overpowering, while the mids and highs are crisp and detailed. As a result, I have been able to enjoy my music and podcasts in a new way, picking up on nuances and details that I had never noticed before. The build quality of the HD 400S is also impressive. The headphones are lightweight, yet feel sturdy and well-constructed. The ear cups are soft and comfortable, and the adjustable headband ensures a snug and secure fit. It is important to note that everyone's ears are unique, so the level of comfort when wearing the HD 400 headphones for extended periods may vary from person to person. (I can attest to this based on my own personal experience) This is particularly useful for podcasters, as it allows you to switch between using the headphones for monitoring and recording with ease. The headphone's cable is also durable and tangle-free, which is a nice touch. In terms of design, the HD 400S is sleek and minimalistic, with a black matte finish that looks great. The headphones fold up for easy storage and transport, making them ideal for use on the go. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sennheiser Over Ear Headphones HD 400S in black to anyone in need of high-quality headphones for podcasting or music listening. They offer exceptional sound quality, durability, and comfort at a very reasonable price point.

These headphones are much better than my last in terms of sound quality, and not hearing others, but one thing I will say, is that they get quite uncomfortable after wearing them for a while, where it hurts the top of my head. I have seen peeps complain about the tiny ear cups, but I'm fine with them, but in the limited check through 1 star reviews only shown the tiny ear cups and, the other stuff I forgot, but I dont remember seeing anything about these getting uncomfortable after a few hours. Though, these are good headphones, I'll just zip-tie something soft and cushiony for the top part of these so it wont be uncomfortable.
