Q: Is this brand compatible with the Dremel 4000?

Yes. Works like a dream. A very brutal wood rending dream.

Q: will this fit fordom 6mm

The shaft is 6.35 mm, suitable for use in a Die grinder with same capacity. Most Dremel and Fordom units are equipped for 1/8. A larger collet is needed for most models but generally you will have to use the smaller 1/8 burr.

Q: Dremel 300 I see that people have commented that this fits a Dremel 3000. Neither my original collets or the chuck fit this. how do you use it.

I made the same mistake, this will not fit a dremel or another rotary tool as it is 1/4 (The same as a normal drill bit) but you need a 1/8 to fit a dremel. Even if you could get an adapter I wouldn't recommend it as it will put to much strain on your dremel & more than likely burn the motor out.

Q: Has anyone used these to cope/scribe baseboards/skirting? If so, what grade, fine?

Generally these burrs are best used with a Die grinder and only occasional work to repair damaged pieces of pre engraved material such as skirting. A Router is the best option for this as the hand held Grinder will be more of a challenge regarding the perfect finish. Obviously the finer burrs will be a safer and much more versatile tool to achieve this. Both Kutzall and Saburrtooth brands are the best on the market. My experience on detailed furniture work using the Flame 1/4" has proved efficient and I would recommend this burr mostly for crafting. The finer the grade the more clogging of debris, so be aware of this if doing a lengthy project.
