I am a telecommunication technician and was looking for something small that I can easily carry with me to drive screws instead of using a regular screwdriver, which takes more time and can be hard to start in some hard surfaces. I was also looking for a portable hammer drill that's more convenient than my big corded hammer drill for when I need to drill while being in the ladder, but also to avoid unrolling an extension cord and searching for an electrical outlet. Came across this kit, the price was right and I always had good experience with any Bosch products. They're among the top power tools makers. Reviews of this kit were good too. The impact driver is my favorite. Totally love it. It's really compact, probably one of the most compact of its class, yet it still feel extremely solid in the hands. I've dropped it multiple times on concrete and what not, it still work as new. The speed and torque is just right for my needs and the trigger is very responsible. Never ever stripped a screw or hole because I couldn't stop at time or other lacked control. The quick release mechanism for the drill bits works very well and I don't see it breaking anytime soon. I also like how the light on the impact is a circle around the chuck, instead of being just one LED underneath like most impact drivers. The battery last forever, I can easily get well over a month of use (although I don't necessarily use it all day, it depends on the job, but I use it a lot during new installations). One thing that would be nice is having some clips on top or side of the impact to hold drill bits, that'd be very convenient. You'll need to keep your bits somewhere else. Not a big issue, I use the #2 square recess bit 90% of the time. (not included in the package) As for the hammer drill, it does what it's supposed to do quite well, as long as your expectations are reasonable - it's a 12V drill. It's obviously not completely replacing my corded drill, but will do the job in many situations. It's an hammer drill, meaning it has an hammer mode that allows you to drill in concrete, mortar, bricks, etc. with the appropriate bit. It does works well for that, as long as you're not trying to drill a 3/8+ hole all the way through hard and thick concrete, in this case I will prefer using the corded drill as it will take forever with the 12V drill and the battery drains rather quickly doing that. It does struggle a bit in hard, dense/dark wood too. But again, it's 12V drill, you can't expect it to be as strong as its bigger brothers. It's more a convenience kind of thing when the power of the big drill isn't needed. It still does the trick in softer/thinner concrete walls. It drills through exterior house sidings walls like butter. Works well for drilling through floors, walls and 2x4 studs too. I use it a lot for drilling 1/8 holes in concrete and mortar when I need to hook cables on apartment buildings. Bottom line, as long as it's not a very hard and thick surface, this hammer drill works perfectly, otherwise I will use the corded drill, which is a bit more cumbersome to use but can't be matched in term of power. This 12V hammer drill is still a time saver in many situations. The kit comes with a charger and two batteries (one for the impact, one for the drill). I like that if one of the battery die, I can just take the battery that's on the other drill. Batteries takes about 45 minutes to charge when completely dead, which isn't too long. Only one battery can be charged at a time. The soft carrying case is a nice addition, nothing fancy, but convenient. I keep the hammer drill and charger in it, while the impact stays in my tool bag since I use it so often. I would definitely recommend this kit for anyone who's looking for lighter and more portable alternatives to their big corded or 18/20V drills for when that much power isn't needed.

I have an assortment of Bosch 12v tools. I have become an advocate due to their light weight, comfortable grip and durability. My only complaint with this set is no clutch on the impact tool, all my older impact tools have two speeds as well as a variable speed trigger and a torque clutch.

The size for this compact smaller hammer drill still amazes me. And the price point. This is worth every penny. Compared to DeWalt or any other brand, these Bosch drills are just as powerful, efficient and all around feel like premium quality. When I started out as an electrical apprentice, I had bought Canadian tire Maximum master craft drills. Which to say aren't bad but they were so heavy and bulky and the compatibility of other tools was low. If you have a chance to grab these, don't think twice. Only issue I could say, the 2 amp battery runs out after around 4 hours of use but for the size and power I can't complain. Takes about 30 min to charge a battery up. Amazing.

Una exelente opción por el tamaño pequeño que tiene, a pesar de ser pequeños tienen bastante fuerza y la batería es muy durable a la hora de trabajar.
