I waited the 2 weeks after surgery like Dr. said too before using it. Still waiting to see results on the scar reduction, but so far I'm very pleased with this product. Especially the ease of pulling it off without pain, and reapplying it. The tape has some stretch to it, which is perfect for areas that need to flex or have some give n take.

Yup, silicone tape actually does reduce scarring. Having recently tried several versions of this product, this particular silicone tape works the best of the bunch -- and it is the most cost effective. Begin treatment once fully healed (typically about 7-14 days). Just cut the tape a bit longer and wider than the scar. Apply to clean and dry skin. It works best on recent scars. However, to my pleasant surprise, this silicone tape is effective in significantly reducing old scars as well (individual results will vary). Individual skin sensitivity to silicone also varies. Most folks tolerate silicone tape without issue. It is recommended to apply for 4 hours for the first few days and gradually increase contact time to 12-16 hours per day. I had no reaction to lengthy and continuous daily exposure -- other than a visible and welcome reduction in scarring. I have been using this product daily for the past 12 days and am very pleased with the results on several small to medium new and even old scars. The only qualm I have with this product is with the advertised claims about reusability. In my experience, it is not practical to reuse this tape as it does not adhere near as well when reapplied. Despite meticulous cleaning, if previously used, the tape rarely adheres properly. Also, slightly trimming off the square corners of the tape patch will reduce the likelihood of it lifting during normal daily activities. On the whole, this silicone tape works quite well in reducing visible scarring. It is easy to apply, remains on the skin reasonably well, and if properly and consistently applied, the results will put a smile on the face of most folks. It certainly did mine.

Pretty decent. My scars from surgery are not as red and bulging as they were. They're still there they're still noticeable but I think the product is working it's just very slow however it's really good because it's not a cream that you put on so it's going to stay on you. The only bad side to it is if it's not covered by clothing the tape that you do have on does not stay on for a long time you have to like replace it everyday

I use this tape to cover up my ear piercings for work. It works great and comes right off. I haven’t tried it in any of my scars but I will.

Pros: Reusable, large quantity for the price, did seem to help with flattening scar. Cons: 1) They’re much thinner than ScarAway silicone sheets. My scars didn’t feel as well-supported with these in the first few weeks after surgery when I was standing or sitting up. 2) I developed an allergy to AWD Silicone Scar Sheets, causing intense itching and redness only where I used them. It’s specific to this product, since I can still use ScarAway on the same scar without a problem. Washing the strips multiple times hasn’t removed the allergen. I know this is a “me problem,” but before I experienced this, I didn’t know it was possible, so I’m putting this here as a heads-up to other allergy-prone people. It does not affect my rating.

I like this scar tape. The scar sheets fit perfectly on the surgery scar on my end. My doctor has seen a change since I have been wearing them. Doesn't work below the surface but the surface scar is getting smoother. You should wrap your hand because the tape does not stick securely on its own.

Awesome stuff, recommended by my dermatologist for melanoma scarring and it worked well - made the scar flat and took some pinkness out of it, even after a year. Funnily enough I read it also helps with wrinkles so I tried it for a few nights on a stubborn wrinkle and it worked! It made it shallower and less noticeable. All our family now use this for any scarring and it is worth persevering with it for months as it really does make a difference. We buy it by the roll now because we use it so much!

I had facial surgery for lesion removals and was left with very significant scars several inches on each cheek. I've had to have many of these surgeries for years so I've gone through a lot of different silicon tape to reduce their appearance. This is by far the best. The reason being it's slightly thinner and more flexible than the others so it just sticks better, in addition the skin tone is a very natural match. I rarely bother reviewing anything here but this was well worth it and I ordered it all the way from Australia. A+ thanks for giving me back some dignity.

it healed my insect bite scar within a few days! Really amazing product! Don’t try to use this for wrinkles taping will not work!

Having tried several silicone tapes, on my long scar, I can say the following: Great stickiness Easy to readjust Great price Great thickness and width Con: It’s not as soft as other tapes So if like me you still suffer from swelling around the wound, find a softer taper and use this one when swelling is no longer an issue, as it doesn’t stretch well and can cause pain.
