High-quality pharaoh fluid for the best price you’re going to find anywhere.
This is an awesome gift for anyone who enjoys science. I bought this for an experiment which it worked perfectly for, but I have ended up using the extra just to play with. It is incredibly interesting, and educational. All you need is a strong neodymium magnet, and a clear container to put it in. The only issue/problem that I have with it applies to any Ferrofluid, & that is that it is incredibly messy, so you need to either keep it contained, or put down some newspaper, and wear rubber gloves when using it. all things considered, the size of the bottle you get for the price & the overall fun and educational Experience Make it well worth the price.

Very cool stuff!
First the bad, as others have noticed, this stains like mad and the container does not pour well. It also stinks to high heavens as well. But wow is it neat! I used a 1/2 inch neodymium magnet and put about 15-20 ml in a plastic food container. (Glad brand thin plastic resealable food container, like cheap thin tupperwear) Putting the magnet under the container produces immediate results. You can make the fluid flow uphill, and so much more. It is a rather expensive gag/novelty item, but very neat to play with..

Interesting science tool with limited uses
Got this as a science tool/ fun experiment for my daughter, along with some strong magnets. It works ok, but the oil that the ferrous particles are suspended in is very dark and viscous, so it quickly paints whatever surface it contacts ( I used a glass jar) black and takes quite awhile to clear off.

Fun
Really fun to play with. My wife isn’t really that much into science stuff but even she thought this was pretty cool.

Excellent Science Lab Material
This stuff is EXTREMELY messy, so do not spill it on anything. I ruined the wood on the island in our kitchen. Otherwise, it was an amazing lab activity for my Science class when teaching the students about magnetism. It was well worth the price and mess. Learn from my mistake and cover your area with a drop cloth or something in case of a spill.

Seems like i was wrong
I reviewed 1 star earlier and unfortunately i was making a mistake about water filled bottle. I didn’t know there was supposed to be a suspension liquid instead of just water, to prevent the bottle from getting dirty. With this solved, i can confirm this brand seems to be making a decent quality ferrofluid. My bad about the previous review.
