so this was a must buy game and it did not disappoint. The game plays exactly as the original Fluxx
I am a big Fluxx fan as well as a Christmas fanatic, so this was a must buy game and it did not disappoint. The game plays exactly as the original Fluxx, but all of the cards have holiday themes. It has Christmas themed cards, as well as Hannukah, Thanksgiving, and Halloween. You do not need the original game to play this version as it is a stand alone game. And if you have never played Fluxx before, it is very easy to learn. The games begins with one simple rule; you draw one card and play one card. There are additional rule cards that get played as the game progresses, but it is as simple as reading the instructions on the cards. The object is to have the two goal cards in front of you to win the game. The games can be as short as 5 minutes or can last 15 to 20 minutes. The game can be played with as few as two people. I would highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys card games and this is a must have for Fluxx players. Pros: 1) Easy to learn and play. The game only takes a few minutes to learn and is played the same was as all the other Fluxx games. 2) This is a stand alone game so no other Fluxx versions are required or necessary. 3) The game play can be short and can be played with only two people. 4) Great theme with four different holidays represented. Cons: There simply are none. This is a great game for all ages. I would highly recommend this game to everyone.

Winner Winner Fluxx Dinner!
Another WINNER! My 13 year old son and I are addicted to the Fluxx games -- this one quickly rose to the #2 or #3 spot in our collection which we (he.... of course I meant he) started in November of 2012... For those who haven't played any of the Fluxx's yet -- what are you waiting for??! I do recommend the original version first -- the first hand might be a bit confusing, the second will feel a bit easier, and by the third you'll be slapping cards down like you were born doing so. Works for 2 or more players, so perfect for single parent and one child households -- so few games for just 2 players these days, it seems. We've had games last as long as 45 minutes, and others won within 5. You just never know, because everything is always in such a chaotic state of Fluxx! Fluxx was created by Andrew Looney and first published by Looney Labs in 1996. If you can believe Wikipedia, Andy Looney has won *9* game design awards. If you still believe Wikipedia, Andrew and Kristin Looney, and Alison Frane together run the games company Looney Labs, where Andrew is the chief creative officer. Looney Labs has published most of his game designs, such as Fluxx, Chrononauts, and the Icehouse game system. Edited on 15jan2015 -- I was typing this so fast the other day that I said 2002 was when my son, who was born in 2001, began our, His, HIS! Collection of Fluxx games. Fixed it up there, apologies that I didn't catch it before I posted!

The game is like a moving target
I ordered this game for my coworkers who had never heard of Fluxx before, and it was a hit! Nothing like a quick (30 minutes) game of Fluxx during the holiday lull in the office to help the time pass by. The game is like a moving target, everything is constantly changing... but in a fun way! You can try to be strategic and plan your moves carefully, or you can try you hardest to sabotage the other people in the game, It's all up to you! I had several of my coworkers who ordered it after playing so that they could share the fun with their families! This is the holiday edition, but don't let that discourage you from getting it in the spring, summer, or fall! This game is lots of fun year around, and does not promote any single religion but rather embraces all of the holiday festivities in the playfully decorated cards. This makes a great ice breaker game, as well s a gift for new friends, and old! I highly recommend that you check it out today! (This also makes for a fun drinking game if you're into that sort of thing, and are over the age of 21)

Fun Fluxx game
I heard about this game from a friend of mine on Facebook. Since I love games and love to try new ones I thought I would give it a try. I started with Holiday Fluxx. Loved it! I have played with several family members and friends and everyone has enjoyed the game. Since one game isn't enough (they all have the same premise, but every version is unique) I ended up ordering EcoFluxx and Fluxx 5.0. Neither disappoint! I had a couple rules questions, so I called the manufacturer, Looney Labs. Terrific customer service. The woman I spoke with was knowledgeable of the products and answered my questions. While I was on the site, I came across their pyramid game. Of course, I had to try. They are equally enjoyable. There are 12 games to learn. I have learned 3 of them. The rules are confusing sometimes and I have written a few emails. Always prompt responses answering my questions. Anyway, I cannot say enough good things. Their games are different than the typical games found in the store. They are a small company and word of mouth is key. That is how I learned of this company and their games. They are portable and individual games can range from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. The rules constantly change, so they never get boring. Lately I play enough that they are out on the kitchen table. Since they are out my 12 year old asks to play. This is a good thing as her iPad trumpts games these days. So for her to ask says a lot!

Tame but nice Fluxx.
This is a fun Fluxx to play during the holidays with people who have never played Fluxx before. It is pretty easy to learn the game without some of the challenging things like creepers or zombies. For people new to Fluxx, they think it is hilarious and love the game. For people that have played harder Fluxx versions (Zombie, Star for example), it is a little tame, but still fun to play.

Fluxx in all forms is great family fun
Great art. Great fun. Greatly replayable. Once you know how to play one version of Fluxx, you know how to play all versions of Fluxx. Thanks Looney Labs!!!

Lots of fun to play. Have other versions and each one you experience a different game. Great fun for all ages.

Not a bad game, but not a great game either in my opinion. The addition of new rules can get confusing for unexperienced players or people who do not play a lot of board/card games. Holiday themed imagery is nice on the playing surface of the cards. However, the backs of the cards are black & white and as such have no holiday look or feel to them.
