Q: Can I mount this on top of engine

I don't recomend to do that it gets very hot the engine . What I do is put the divice under the car at night and in the a.m. I put the divice away..i didn't mount the divice in the car ...so far is been working great for me .

Q: Can you hear this while driving?

No, you won't hear it while driving as it emits ultrasounds which human cannot hear.

Q: Where should you place this in a tesla?

It’s very difficult to attach in most cars. I put mine down underneath my Lexus. No place to attach. It’s better than nothing.
