Good reasonably priced brushes for watercolor painting.
My art teacher recommended these brushes. They are good for most projects and last a long time. Hold a fair amount of water.

Best 0000 micro detailer
I adore this specific brush!!!! This micro tip (0000) is perfect for essential fine line work when detailing whatever you are painting!! I usually buy W&N series 7 brushes but haven’t found one as small as this brush that holds its load and maintains its tip without flattening out into a broaden line. Epic!!! Arrived with protective tip covers still intact which as you know is necessary, especially with a tip this small!!! Do yourself a favor and buy Masters brush cleaner and preserver and use it each time you finish painting with any brush, especially tiny detail brushes!!!

Confusing information
This expensive brush did not come in a box like other cheaper brushes do. It came in a plastic envelope without protection. It holds good amount of water/paint and forms a pointy end when wet. I ordered size 20 (as advertised) but the number on the handle says 16. There was no size information's on the sleeve. The same happened with the order for #14. The brush is way too small to be size 14. The number on the handle shows 9. Which size did I get? Also, I wanted to order size #16. The title says round brush, but the picture shows large flat brush. Which one would I receive? There are a lot of mistakes and inaccuracies in the description of Winsor & Newton products and it confuses a potential buyer who decides to place the order somewhere else.

Hairs splinter off but retains water and pigment very well
I've been using this for a few months now and it holds water really well for painting so it's a great tool in that regard, but the bristles while mostly remain pointed tend to splinter off a ton and it can get hairs into the painting which is a hassle. I have other brushes from this brand I like so I'll continue to try others.

Finally, a good acrylic brush
I bought cheaper brushes, which was a total waste of money. This is the first acrylic brush for acrylic nails that works fabulous.

Love this brush!
I have Winsor and Newton brushes from the Sceptre range dating back to the late 80’s and whilst their bristles are still beautiful the paint has chipped and flaked off the handle. I reluctantly bought this one to see if I liked it as much and so far so good! Bristles have the right amount of spring for me and I feel like I can control the liquid/pigment well. Let’s see if this one lasts as long.
