Juicy pens
Love these pens! They are bold and juicy. What do I mean by that? The ink rolls out of the ballpoint so easily. Maybe it is because of the thick tip? Either way, if you're looking for a smooth writing and thicker pen tip, then these are perfect. The only thing that I would have to complain about is that since the ink comes out of the tip so well, sometimes it builds up on the pen tip, and it becomes very goopy, and then you have to wipe it off. But other than that, I love these pens.I've bought them probably three times now and the colors are perfect.

Love these pens but didn’t realize design differences
I had some of these pens in pink that I’ve used for years. I finally finished my last one so I ordered this variety pack. They’re great pens, my favorite. One of the reasons I like them though is that the cartridge (if this is the right word) is a clear straw so I can see how much ink is left. Unfortunately for some reason some of the colors use white straws so I can’t see how much ink I have left :( they still write nicely and the colors are fun but I miss my OG pack of pink bic cristals

Great pen!!!
I only use bold point pens. For the past 15 years I've been using a different pen that costs 4 times as much. When I saw this Bold Xtra Cristal pen I thought I'd try it. By the time I wrote my second word with it, I knew I would be getting this Bold Xtra from now on. I grew up with Bic Cristal pens and loved them. But this Bic Bold beats even them. You can't beat the Bold line and smooth writing. They are comfortable in your hand to use extensively. They beat the others I've used and the price is fantastic. I'm switched to these from now on. I'll definitely be ordering more. Price and quality is superior. LOVE THESE PENS... Thank you BIC...

One of the smoothest pens I ever used

I checked out the writing. All are thick and bold. Lighter colors don't make an impact (especially light green) but there are a few good ones in darker shades (purple & black). I intend to use this in Spirograph. When opened requires a bit of writing for the ink to flow and there is smudge (ink leak) upon usage. For 1.6mm, I guess it happens more than with 1.0mm.
