Easy Install, Great Detection, Good Lighting
The installation for this product was very easy, make sure you have batteries on hand! It is able to detect night from day, so you do not have to worry about draining your batteries over a short period of time. The light distance is effective for porch lighting and walkway lighting, I'm not sure I would recommend these for driveways. As for myself, I've had these up for a couple months underneath my porch and they work fine. The elements do not seem to bother them, but they've never been directly rained on so I cannot vouch for the waterproof claim. These are a God-send for places that lack wiring or installed motion lighting. They light up well and detect very fast (faster than the spotlights wired up around my home).

Works great
This light is awesome. I wanted a light by my shed but didn’t want to run electrical. I’ve had it 2 months and I am very pleased with it. I’m going to buy a couple more.

Good purchase!
This is a bright, reliable light that spotlights any motion in the area where it is pointed. I have it over a walk-out basement apartment door. It has no protection from the weather, but for security for me. I've had it a year and just replaced the batteries today. Regular ones lasted only a year so I used rechargeables today and will see how long they last. The only negatives for me was in changing the batteries. The markers/indicators on the sphere, saying which way to turn to lock or unlock, are opposite what should be. When turned the right way, it's easy to find the battery compartment. At first I though I'd have to pry it off. It seems to be well sealed. One improvement I would make is to have it rechargeable by plug in.

Just trust me. Buy it
Yup another true to every word I tested this thinking well they say the batteries last a long time with and average motion activated testing and use. I had it first day and forget that I needed the batteries to last so dont set it down where it will never turn off . Well I did and buy the time I relized It had been on so long it seemed to dim already and I can't possibly prove anything wrong because I justified the hire price with me needing no cord, and no solar dependant and if it doesn't hold up and my placement won't work I'm waisting betting on the one thing that depends on my tests from new batteries and all I'm gonna remember is I killed its shot of holding up as long as you don't depend on perfect conditions and it's perfect according to what u need and also the only slightly hire perfect IF it turns out to amaze you. And you don't leave it on for hours and now it stars failing rapidly . It's permanent now and just wait to review it when it has a fair change to hold up, and dim maybe but look even when u were sure I would lose my depth of felid with my brightness I still can see that moving in the corner see oh you can't cause I'm not as bright but I still work. I put new batteries and it was so bright when it came on as I popped it into its holder and said you better blind me as to wow me and wish id not said that cause damn , give a girl a chance to look away before you wow me .. now I'm blund and failed my certainty ive got you now. U outlasted ur estimation and u'll never last thru to ur predicted best, and no response time varies only with how dark it really is. Just because it's dim you can't see it but no lag in response time. Go ahead. U won't regret the fact I'm battery powered and for solar it won't last cause with the seasons come less sunlight and sure without full sun and perfect charging conditions you always loss thise lights if not fully charged faster than anything bwcause you can't control the weather and there for if something is always draining the batteries and barely a xhance to recharge it becomes a wrap and burns out faster if u try to save money in the long run by opting out for free charging. Let the sun take care of it. I can't run a bunch of cords around. I can't rely on unrealiable charging damage so I took a shot in these. If u can't screw something into ur wall and run wires to where u need if , because you are limited for permant reliable outside lighting and you won't consider fast draining the life out of Free sun charging where u though your money away faster by opting out of a few sets of batteries actually lengthens the life and you get over welmed and begin to get dizzy let me help now. It's mountable to any wall or fence or anything you want to it literally can't have an a direction it can't reach and live up to its motion sensor range. I put it on the fence thinking well for now I'm sure I'll meet ve it later when I figure out its blund spots and it's real range of motion because ince monttes its not gonna twist this way and it did. I felt it was gonna prove me wrong cause see it didn't come on .. oh it's too bright.. turn it and oh dam you really do a just to whayever I want. And hold ur position yet a pinky ease can slightly reposition. East PEASY , I did the scrutiny and tests and failed .. just buy it and thank me later. Lol

Great size, low brightness, succumb to elements
This is not bright, the motion sensor stopped working as moisture got inside. Product didn’t have any waterproofing (rubber washer/tape to keep low risk moisture). Great size! And would be perfect if it did become to the Pennsylvania winter/seasons. (For me at least).

Perfect for Taking the Dog Out
We moved into an apartment complex and the lighting outside our stairwell is nearly non existent. On occasion, I have to take my dog out at night to use the bathroom and this has made me feel so much safer doing so. Our neighbor mentioned that he appreciates it as well since he works nights and can now see to unlock his door. Easy to install, motion detection is great and the cost was a no brainer.

Frustrating and Difficult to Install
I bought the item because it stated that it was easy to install but it is not! Product is difficult to install and instructions are not easily understood. Tiny screws require tiny screw driver. That should be included with the product. Screws stripped easily and don't seem to hold the product in place. I still don't have this light up after trying to install for 45 minutes. Getting the back plate off was difficult. Accidentally dropped it, and then it popped off! Rediculous. Lost several of the tiny scres while trying to put them back in the light. I have the batteies installed and the light does work, and is bright at this point. The motion sensors work and it does shutoff. You will need a drill, tiny screw driver, AA batteries and a ton of patience. Considering returning product instead of attempting to install again.

I mounted this on back porch near stairs and keeps working, powerful LED's; a great safety solution. Great value and solid construction. Hardware stores and electronic stores didn't have anything of similar to offer.

Excellent and just what I needed. I have a small black dog that I couldn't see outside at night and have previously tried solar lights on the deck railing but some days there was not enough sunlight to power them and they were not very bright. This was easy to install, comes on with a bright light that covers a good area as soon as the dog walks near it. Exactly what I needed. Highly recommended

It does what it should. I have wired it directly to a 5 volt DC power supply 30 feet away, (4.5 volt is fine) using old phone wire, #24 or #26 copper wire. It is a 2 amp power supply. More than one light could be run off that. Solder connections to proper + and - wire springs. The one that has a red wire going to the printed circuit board is the positive one to use. The one with a black wire to the board is negative. Pull the springy wires out a bit with small needle nose pliers before soldering to ease the task. I glued around the small drilled hole in the case where I inserted the phone wire. If the unit is pointing generally downward, it looks to me like will quite watertight. Where you feed the wire in should be on the bottom side when it is in position, to minimize chances of water getting in. Parts that swivel for adjusting aim are somewhat loosely fit. I may add a couple of dabs of rubber glue to ensure it is a little more fixed into position, once I am happy with how I have aimed it. (I did do that.) It nicely lights up 70 square feet of synthetic grass that is the dog's bathroom, and enables me to see what I have to see to keep it cleaned up. It illuminates a larger area than just that. Soft warm white light. Roughly equal to a 25 watt incandescent bulb. It will give the raccoons pause for thought too. This worked first night at minus 8 celsius, which was the problem with the previous brand. It cycled on and off endlessly in the colder weather. I think that the temp was the issue. A few days in, this one is working just fine. Edit: Buying a chinese made device shipping from the US is costly in the end. Mine shipped from Canada, but was in fact the last one.
