Pacsafe V Hip Pack

After watching YouTube demo by 808IslandLife I purchased this Pacsafe hip pack. I was trying to decide between this one and the Pacsafe Go and Mr. IslandLife’s video was so clear and concise I ordered the Vibe100. Absolutely no regrets! I have at least 12 different Pacsafe products and given them as gifts. They never disappoint. What I like about the Vibe is the size, you really can put a lot in it and it hangs well balanced, distributing the weight of the contents in a way that you do not experience soreness or pulling either as a hip pack or as a crossbody/shoulder bag. It hangs as a shoulder bag really well! Such a great design! Usually hip packs are awkwardly positioned if used as a shoulder bag, but not pacsafe’s design. I did add a zip-on nonslip strap pad (also purchased on Amazon). It fit perfectly and now the bag stays, handsfree, securely on my shoulder, no worry’s about slipping or contents spilling out. I really do like the safety features on the strap latch and zipper pulls. Of course the Ecomesh feature is a great security. I so appreciate the environmentally conscious approach to its material and their high standard of quality. It is so well sewn, details like the unobtrusive logo, smooth zippers, padded back and grey lining of the bag are also appreciated. You truly can’t go wrong with Pacsafe. The difficulty lies only in trying to choose which product will best serve your needs. The photos on the Amazon site that Pacsafe provided do not give enough viewing of all the bag offers. Luckily you can see other buyers videos and YouTube videos. As for durability, I have been regularly using my favorites for decades and they still function flawlessly and look great. I solo travel a lot and wander big cities everywhere, I think this Vibe100 will become my steady companion for years to come!

This is a great Antitheft bag. It holds so much and has great locks and security features. The locks are a little tough to figure out when you first get it but with a little practice it’s not easy to work. A thief would have to really work to get in this bag. It’s like a vault and there is no getting in it without real determination. The strap is long enough for me to wear as a chest bag which is what I wanted. I’m a big Chested plus size girl and this strap leaves room to spare which is fantastic. The strap also has a buckle so you can lock it around a post or chair or something. The lock in the buckle was kinda tricky to get open but again, with a little practice it’s doable. It would certainly not be easy for anyone who is not familiar with the security locks on this bag. Very secure. Nice locks and it’s comfortable to wear. I can fit my kindle, notebook, wallet, two passports, GoPro, AirPods and earplugs in the big pocket with room to spare. I can fit my keys, hand sanitizer, cosmetics and medicine in the smaller pocket. This is a great bag. I’m gonna buy my husband one as well for when we go to Europe this Christmas.

I was looking for a theft proof hip-pack for my medical supplies and probably my phone for travel. I compared this very expensive model to a lesser expensive model of the main competition. This has a fair amount of room in that the pockets can expand outward if needed for more cargo. The front pocket goes all the way to the bottom so it is very usable whereas others often do not and the pocket ca be tiny. The hardware is amazingly robust. The zipper pulls are really easy to handle because they are large enough. The locking mechanism of the zipper pulls is ingenious and after a few trial runs, easy to learn and open and close quickly. The belt is also strong and well made and the closure again is unique and once you get the order of the opening moves, it is much easier to open than the usual pinch latch type closure. There also is a nice padded divider in the main pocket that is perfect for a big phone and large enough that it is easy to get the phone in or out very quickly. I think they advertise it for a small tablet. While this choice is the most expensive of all the models I looked at, it clearly is extremely well made and the hardware is really high quality. I am very glad I spent the extra money - I feel I got real value and function.

Love this bag for international travel. I felt confident wearing it on my back, hands free. Zippers ran smoothly and locked easily. Had more space than anticipated inside without appearing bulky.

In short I would definitely recommend this waist pack as a great, secure way, of carrying your everyday items. The size is good for what I would like to carry. The locking mechanism is very easy to use. As mentioned in video reviews, the zipper pulls are noisy but the bag is meant to be secured so this shouldn't be considered a deal breaker. I only have a few minor criticisms: - I would like to have a slightly longer, but just as flat, front pouch. I found the length to be just a little short causing those quick access items bulge inward and take away from the inner main pouch, although not much. But it would be better if it was slightly longer, as there is space on the front of the main compartment pouch. The bulging is not noticeable from the front of the pack. Which is good. - The second criticism to have a zipper for the RFID compartment instead of velcro., It does make it easy to get to your cards once the main pouch is opened, which some may prefer, but I think it would add one more layer of theft prevention should you not remember to use the locking mechanism. - Wish the slide for the locking mechanism was metal instead of plastic. Although that would possibly add to the noise along with the zipper pulls. - Something to reduce the clankiness of the zipper pulls. (Heat shrink is the only solution that can be used to quiet the main compartment zipper pulls as paracord would get in the way of the passive interlinking locking the two zippers have.) The subdued security features like the wire woven strap and mesh on the front to make it cut resistant are a huge reason why I like this pack. It looks like just a standard waist pack. Overall the pack is well designed, the materials are very durable, and the security features are great. Be sure to watch the video reviews.

Excellent security fanny pack, no one can get into them, used it in Paris and Rome

Nowadays, when traveling to big cities like New York City or Europe, where there are a lot of people that we don’t know, this has become a great purchase. We kept our passports and our money there, the way this device is set up. It’s impossible for a pickpocket to put their hand in and steal our stuff.

Don’t listen to reviewers who say the security features are hard to use. They are not. Just read the directions and practice opening and closing the locks while wearing the bag before your trip. Duh. There is a bit of a learning curve, but a little practice will take care of it. I was most surprised by how comfortable the bag is to wear, even when loaded with as much stuff as would fit. The padding in the back is really comfortable, and the wide belt gives excellent support. I was also concerned that the bag would be too big, but it isn’t. It perfectly fit everything I needed for full-day adventuring, and never felt too big. And FYI I am a 5’ 3” woman. No downside to this bag!
