Perfect for a studio desk setup
The media could not be loaded. I searched for a LONG time before finding the exact thing I needed. So glad I found this! I ordered a 5u desk topper by gearhivestudioracks.com and needed something about 10 inches deep without a rear post. Most are to deep requiring a rear post. I installed it upside down to create a front lip for feeding cables and give more room for my equiment. Great value and build quality.

No keyboard storage
This item would be perfect except it does not do what I expected it to do. I wanted a tray to store a keyboard and pull it out and use in the same tray. This itedm does not do that. This item pulls out and allows you to place a keyboard on top and then remove said keyboard and place it somewhere else when you close the tray. Why would someone want something like this? In its defense, you can leave an emply rack unit and do what I described but empty random spaces in a rack look ugly. The item is very well built and sturdy if it wasn't for the poor design I would have given it 5 stars. Most similar items at this price point would cost

Serviceable pull out tray for 19 inch rack
Serviceable keyboard or what have you pull out tray, I use it flipped over to have a pull out for a table top video switcher. Does the job with little fanfare, it’s a bit “wonky” when you pull it out from fully closed in rack to be honest, but it does what it is intended. Good positive stops for fully returned closed position.Updated: I added a right angle bracket to each end of the slider supports, to hold the rear ends stable. Made the “wonky” go away, makes for a much sturdier situation.

Nice fit and functionality
Easily installed in my relay rack and works great.

Doesn’t fit
Won’t fit 19” rack easily. It has metal screws protruding so you have to angle it about 45 degrees before it will fit. So make sure you have plenty of space above where it will be installed. Once installed there is no way a typical keyboard can fit when drawer is closed (unless you install it upside down, but then there’s a huge 1” lip). Overall I do not see this being useful for its intended purpose.

Half depth for keyboards
Strong and durable. This shelf will hold approx 15lbs if needed but perfect for 101 style keyboards. Mounting hardware included.

Does its job
They keyboard rack does hold a keyboard. It is a retractable shelf. But it is very flimsy with lots of side-to-side movement. I ended up modifying it to put a back brace in, which greatly strengthened it.I don't use the keyboard much, so quality is fine. If I were using it every day, a higher quality keyboard try would be better.Would I buy it again? Yes, but I would modify it to be stiffer. Why would I buy it again? Because it is so much cheaper than the alternatives.
