I bought this as a gift to my mum, it works really well and sound quality is excellent, it's great value for money, the torch on the side is very Bright and works really well, also very compact so can be easy stored or moved

Arrived with broken/snapped plastic handle. I can't see how this happened in the packaging. The unit seems to work OK but volume doesnt seem to moderate at its best. i.e. If you play at a lower volume you can hear the higher volume peaks hitting the cap. Tolerable though. It's supposed to be made of plastic but it looks very plasticky too. Radio reception good even without using the antenna. Its a bit smaller than the pictures implied. About a brick size cut to two thirds. The saving grace of this item, and the main reason i bought it is the labelling of the controls which are very visual (except the two switches on the side for on /off and torch on/off but these are obvious.). I did expect better from this brand.

I was disappointed to find that this was NOT a wind-up radio (one of the main selling points for me), but has USB and solar charging only. The controls on the top panel are clearly marked with white lettering, the switches and sockets on the sides however are small and shallow moulded into the case making them extremely difficult to see even close up unless the light is just right. Battery life unknown.

I buy bits and bobs from Amazon all the time. I can count on one hand the number of things I have returned, and this is one of them. Every single aspect of this is sub-optimal. The sound quality is muffled, with little treble. The tuning is like stirring a pudding - no precision and the actual sensitivity on FM left a lot to be desired. AM (MW) was dire, BBC 5 live was literally the only station I could find, whereas, on the car radio, there were 10+. (I realize it's all being turned off etc!) I may have got a lemon, but the quality was definitely below what I'd expect for the price. Ended up with a Retekess one similar spec, which while not perfect is a lot better than this. Avoid. PS The solar panel will charge the battery by 2038 if you are lucky.
