Work on iPad, plug and play.
The big concern with these is whether or not they are going to work, and I'm pleased to say that mine did. No messing about, just plug them in and off you go. (Not like the first -- cheaper -- type that I bought which didn't work at all.) Thanks to the other reviewers who gave me the confidence to try these. For those who care about specific use cases, I'm using these on an iPad with Simply Piano and they work great. Recommended.

LED a great addition for a MIDI cable
Yeah it works well and the LED is a brilliant addition. Ordered as a replacement for and old wire that had just given up

Worth paying a bit extra
They always say buy cheap buy twice. Had another similar cable which was about half the price of this one. Midi in worked well but it was only when I tried to run a signal the other way that I realised something was wrong. Have had no issues with this item and wish I spent that bit extra earlier!

I can confirm these are not like the cheap Chinese silver treble clef ones. These work!
This is a shout out to all the musicians. If you've tried those cheap and nasty silver "treble clef" style MIDI USB cables, and are put off using USB/MIDI cables, think again. These _are_ MIDI Class Compliant, and will do as they say on the tin.I needed a MIDI out from my gig laptop to run into various things, a guitar preamp, and my other PC to do some OBS scene changes. Started out by finding an old silver treble clef one in the loft, which worked but wouldn't even recognise my MIDI keyboard at all!So I bought a newer one, and that still didn't do the job, but managed to send MIDI messages out from my gig laptop. just really half arsed, and really poorly designed. It's to do with the opto-isolators and bad programming. Those silver treble clef cables are _not_ MIDI Class Compliant.I can happily report that these ones work absolutely 100% folks, so if you're looking around for a cheap solution to plug that MIDI device in, you can go ahead and get these ones.I've even ordered a spare one (in Blue this time!) to use with my FCB1010.Great job guys!

Re-boot PC
I have a Kawai ES110 piano keyboard. On the instructions that came with the Midi cables, I did instruction 1 and 2 but - no.3 of the instructions states "Adjust the keyboard to MIDI mode". I wasn't sure what to do here - and looking at the keyboard manual page 40 - I couldn't understand what, if anything, I needed to change, so I didn't make any changes. The red light came on one the midi cables were connected to the PC but my Piano Marvel app didn't recognise the keyboard. After doing a re-boot my app recognised the keyboard. As soon as a note is played a blue led light is activated in the 'dongle' of the midi to usb cable. This indicates that the keyboard notes are being transmitted to/received by the PC.Very easy to set up. There is a good photo on the instructions card that shows very clearly how to connect the midi cable to your piano keyboard. (I'm sure that without that photo, I would have done it incorrectly. Thanks for that. The midi cables and 'dongle' look to be of good construction and I'm happy with the overall quality and the price that I paid.

FORE MIDI to USB Interface Adapte
I thought I'd done my homework having read most of the user reviews on this product before ordering it. Unfortunately it does not work in Windows 10 when a second application needs to use the adapter to access the hardware on the end of the cable.I decided to rebuild my home midi system I which I first used around 15 years back, Korg 01W master keyboard and 3 other midi boxes. Because one of my midi ports was not compatible with my newer system board I needed an extra midi port to replace it, this product appeared to be the simple solution.I use various software librarian / editor software applications to control all of my midi devices together with Cakewalk, in real time. My old Roland 3 x port midi box still works fine (with a software tweak) but this FORE midi usb cable will only allow either Cakewalk or the editor to access the device attached to the cable, but not both at the same time.Returned for a refund.

Works perfectly - terrific customer support!
There are many substandard MIDI to USB leads available on the internet, but this is not one of them. Sturdy cables and plugs on the end ([in & out MIDI to USB], with an interesting little junction box positioned between them with your own private light show when in use - three lights in all - two blue flashing ones for data transference (one for in, one for out) and a solid red light to show that the cable has power (which comes from the USB, there is no need for a power supply here). I found the flashing lights slightly off putting at first, but I have since warmed to them, they are a gentle reassurance that all is working as it should do. I did wonder about the flashing lights and whether they were meant to be like that so I got in touch with FORE customer support (email supplied on a card in the box) and they replied within 24 hours, assuring me that if it's flashing, it's working well!. MIDI composition awaits... Terrific service. Highly recommended

At least I figured out why they wouldn't work..
Bought this Months ago but only needed to use it today, didn't work. Followed the instructions about the Output to Input and Input to Output, nothing, decided it didn't work and nothing to lose I swapped them over and it worked, couldn't figure out why and then I saw that mine had two MIDI IN marked plugs on both cables.. Must've been a Monday morning batch.
