Sad story of a dog that has to find his way home . Ended well though. Excellent movie

I love these movies. The dog is precious & the story line in compelling. You will laugh & cry in the same movie but not want to take your eyes off the movie. A definite movie for the whole family. Enjoy!!!

I have never cried so much this was such a touching story, loved everything about it! Bella made want be want to own a dog she had such an amazing journey from the start to end, i loved how the movie flowed. I just want to watch it over and over again and grab some tissues because this is true tear jerker!

This is a heart warming story of a lost dog who fights their way over many obstacles to find their way back home to their person. Along the way, she befriends a pack of dogs, rescues a stranger caught in an avalanche, and becomes the "mother cat" to an orphan baby mountain lion. There are some scenes that may be too intense for young children (e.g., an avalanche, as well as a pack of wolves hunting the dog and her mountain lion friend). But otherwise this is a great movie for older kids (e.g., my daughter is 12 and loved this movie). The main canine role is played by a rescue dog. The producers specifically rescued Shelby from a shelter to play the role of Bella in this movie. Shelby is now a therapy dog helping others.
