**Q: Is the pad a rectangle?**

**Q: I am looking for an elasticized table pad to fit a 42x72 inch table rectangle**
A: We have an oblong one that may fit - it typically fits 48 x 68 but should fit 42 x 72.... It's on the same detail page as the item you asked a question about.

**Q: How to get the terrible Creases out?**
A: I have the heavy duty version not quilted, so not sure if this will work for you. After reading what many others tried, I ironed it on a cotton setting to lessen the wrinkles/folds out of the package, using an old bedsheet piece between the felt side, then vinyl side, of pad and the iron. A lower iron heat didn’t work well, nor did a few rounds in the dryer with a damp towel. A lot of effort but it worked. The remaining slight creases are barely noticeable under the cloth tablecloth.

Bought this to protect two tables "joined" up for a large dinner group. (The tables were oval & square.) It arrived with deep creases. After a few days of lying flat on the tables, it was no better so I flipped it over and ironed the padded "felt" side it with my steam iron. It was perfect. Laid out on tables and began trimming using dress-making scissors. After a few inches. I taped the cut section to the table with painters tape, repeating this process until the pad was cut to the size of the two "mismatched" tables & secured at several places. I needed to remove the pad until needed, but left a few strips of tape in place under the edge of the tables. On the day, I matched up the tape on the pad with the tape on the tables. Perfect fit. Placed cloth on top. Looked ideal. 1 star off as creases had to be smoothed or cloth wouldn't lie flat.
