UPDATE#2: is been a while since my last update and I just thought about it so I came back to change my rating back to 5 stars because Vibrex did send me another wand! I still didn't receive very much communication from them, but who cares?! This company stands by its product unlike any other company I've ever used. Whether the product lasts 2 months or 2 years, when the company stands behind its product and keeps is promise, that deserves 5 stars and more. I definitely recommend this ORIGINAL Magic Wand. You'll love the product, I assure you. And if you love it so much, you completely wear it out like i did (within a year, of course), lol , don't worry, they got your back. UPDATE: OK so this wand ended up breaking about 8 months after I received it. I had to file a claim on the warranty with the vibrex company and they sent me a replacement wand (they have horrible customer service. Never even responded to my email, I didn't receive any tracking information, I didn't even know that I had a new wand coming, it just showed up. But at least I got one). However that replacement wand didn't last as long as the one I purchased through Amazon. I think I got about 4 months out of it. I tried to file another claim on the warranty considering it was within a year of receiving it but the company has not responded to any email or any other attempt to communicate with them. And it's probably been a month since I reached out to them so I'm assuming that they are not going to replace this most recent one. I kind of understand it but it's their product so I do feel it should be replaced. At the very least they could communicate with me to let me know that they're not going to replace it instead of just leaving me hanging. The wand works wonderfully... till it doesn't. But for an item this expensive, it should work longer than 4-8 months ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is a legit original magic wand, formerly known as Hitachi. The on/off switch have the Roman numerals (and only the Roman numerals) and it came with the serial number printed on it. Not a knockoff. Good price. Works like a dream! This is the third magic wand I've owned. The first one lasted about 4 years, the second one was about the same. Well worth the small investment. Highly recommend! This thing will give you HOURS of pleasure!

I sometimes get Charlie horses in my calves, when I wake up. This massager works the muscle strain out. I read that people use this on sensitive areas. I would get a variable speed controller for any other purpose.

Low setting is intense, high setting outstanding. A little noisy.

I am pleased with this product overall. It is not magic but is magical as it really has helped provide some pain relief to very sore muscles, tendons and areas of nerve pain. During this time (COVID lockdown) I can't get to the massage therapist, so at least I can use this for a bit of relief. Believe it or not I bought this for pain relief. Yes, I know other people use to for "other" relief. I use it on my back, shoulders, arms and legs. I've read some people complain about the noise level, which in my opinion is highly exaggerated. Sure, if you are trying to pleasure yourself with others in close proximity you will be found out. But if you are in your room with your door closed, turn on the TV and you'll be fine. Personally I use it while sitting on my couch watching tv with others (again, I am using it for pain relief). We can all watch a show at the same time and no-one gets pissy about the noise, so it must not be that bad. It has two settings, although there is not much a difference between them. Neither are not too intense. I can use it continuously without it getting too hot or shutting off, typically about 25-30 minutes at a time. I'd use it longer but it gets a little heavy to hold without a break after that point. You can also lay it down on the painful areas so you are not holding it up the whole time, or lean back on it. The handle is long enough to reach to the middle of your back without a problem. Unlike many other massagers that cost hundreds of dollars, this does not make me sore after using it. This is a big plus for anyone that has connective tissue disorders, nerve disorders, fibromyalgia, etc. I have a super fancy expensive massage chair that I can't use more than once a week because the post use soreness is almost worse than the original pain I was trying to relieve. Bottom line: I'd recommend this to others - for whatever use you'd like. It comes as promised in brand new condition and works well. I do wish it was a little bit lighter weight but that really should not dissuade anyone from making a purchase.

Yeah, I bought the Magic Wand for actual massage. I'm old. My boyfriend is old. Besides, I was never attracted to jack hammers in that way. Waddaya want? We keep this massager by the bed for all the wrong reasons. It's amazing for relaxing aching muscles! Boyfriend drives a lot and has major back trouble that requires physical therapy, and at the end of the day his upper back is all knots. Magic Wand provides truly intense vibration that manages to relax the problem spots, yet somehow doesn't hurt even when I dig in. I'm a computer nerd and occasionally have aching arms, and the wand takes care of that, too. If you use it for a while, you'll get relaxed and sleepy like you do after a thorough professional massage - it's almost like your body is kicked into "sleep and detox" mode. Love it! Note for disabled - the wand is powerful and solid, and therefore heavy. If you're using it for a longer time, you might want to rest the head against something and lean on it, or rest the bottom of the handle on something; just don't cover the handle and leave it a little bit of play to make sure the motor doesn't overheat.

This thing has had an amazing six-year run. I'd say that's pretty good. Today, the lower speed, which I prefer, quit working. I'm just amazed though at how long it has lasted with absolutely no problems. Fingers crossed that my reorder today arrives with the same high quality as the last one. I found it through my order history, so it took me back to the same page.

Worked great twice at different times and on the third separate time it didn't. The motor still sounds like it is going but the top of it isn't vibrating anymore.
