I hate the price, let's be honest. It's expensive for sugar. HOWEVER... it's amazing for giving that crunchy, beautiful, delicious topping that muffins, scones, and pastries absolutely need. And it doesn't melt into the baked good while in the oven. Love it. Bought 3 bags so far for my little home bakery and will continue to buy in the future.

I ask for the strangest birthday presents. This year I asked for some coarse-grained sugar to use when I'm making molasses cookies. So much wife listened to me (per the usual), and ordered this for me. The next day after my birthday I was making molasses cookies. They turned out so well when I rolled them in this coarse sugar prior to baking (you get a crunch with this sugar that I don't see with regular table sugar). I've made several other batches since then, and they've all turned out well. I like how the bag can be resealed so that the sugar doesn't harden.

I don't know why it's so difficult to find extra coarse sugar, so I was so glad to find this. I use it on several of my baked goods. Tastes great and keeps it's shape and flavor when baking. Looks nice on finished product.

My secret ingredient that I sprinkle on top of muffins and quick breads. Makes your baked items a little bit more special!

Nice big crystals. Just wish they had a shine on them. They are dull even after baking on top of cookies.

The granules of sugar in this package are huge which makes it perfect for sprinkling on muffins, cookies and other baked goods. If your local bakery once used, but has now stopped using, coarse sugar on their muffins, this is the perfect replacement.

This a wonderful product at a great price point! I like to use these on my giant molasses cookies. I roll my cookie dough balls in the sugar crystals. They give the cookies a wonderfully crunchy texture and a nice counterpoint to the punch of spices in the recipe!

I love this sugar! I just ordered for the second time and this time, I got the 32 oz instead of the 16. I used it initially for Christmas cookies, which turned out phenomenal. The coarse texture and the sparkle that resulted from baking it gave the cookies the perfect nostalgia factor I was looking for, and my guests thoroughly appreciated it! After that, I developed a wonderful new recipe for this outrageous blueberry almond cinnamon swirl sourdough bread (a mouthful, for sure) that seemed like it needed a bit of an aesthetic upgrade to match its innate uniqueness; cue the coarse sugar! I ended up brushing the top with egg wash, sprinkling with a light dusting of regular organic cane sugar, then topping that with sliced almonds and more egg wash, and finishing it with this stuff. Holy guacamole!!!! We loved it so much, I started doing the same thing with my sourdough challah bread -- another clear winner! I have gotten nothing but rave reviews ever since I started using this product. Every time I make anything with it, it totally steals the show and is gone within 24 hours. Whenever I want to make something that will impress people, I have made it standard procedure to finish it with this sugar. It’s the updo of the dessert world, a serious must-have. I will no longer abide my pantry to be without it. I don’t write glowing reviews on everything I buy, but this product is truly a cut above, and I can’t recommend it enough!
