Stay Steady is one of the very, very few cold cereals I've found that have only 1 gram of sugar and so much fiber.  That combination of nutrients is amazing.  The fact that there is a great deal of protein per serving is amazing, too.  I gave the cereal 4 stars instead of 5 because the flakes of cereal stay crisp in milk for a very short time -- a drawback I am willing to accept because of the very low sugar content and high fiber and protein  content.

I purchased StaySteady Vanilla Almond hoping for a nutritionally improved cold cereal option for a diabetic family member.  His take: "It's ok if you like the flavor of cardboard."  I thought the taste is OK but the texture very strange.  This  cereal costs 66 cents an ounce and our old standbys of oat rings and shredded wheat biscuits cost 22 cents and 33 cents per ounce respectively.  A serving of StaySteady Vanilla Almond has 180 calories, 21g protein, 9g fiber and 2g sugar.  The  oat rings cereal has 100 calories per serving and 3g protein, 3g fiber and 1g sugar.  The wheat biscuit cereal has 170 calories per serving, 6g protein, 7g fiber and zero sugar.  If I don't finish the StaySteady cereal myself it will become very expensive wild bird food.

This product met my expectations. The high protein count cut my appetite tremendously. I don't generally like flakes but these were not only delicious they withstood the almond milk without getting soggy. The only downside is the price. It's a little too pricey for my budget
