Great book. Lots of Good Advice!
I have four stars because it does have a ton of great techniques to overcome stress, but some of the techniques were very closely related. Seemed several of the chapters could have been under one heading, not two. Besides being a little repetitive his writing style is exceptional, very down to earth and detailed with specific examples for each technique. It was an easy, although long read. Seems like it was written as a daily or weekly journal of ideas. You can skip around to any short chapter 2-3 pages for most and get a great nugget of wisdom. If that is what you are looking for, this book does that very well! Richard is obviously very knowledgeable about the subject and shares his ideas with no ego or scientific rhetoric. Good read.

Wonderful addition to my day
I remember reading Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff when it first came out. I was in college, overwhelmed by the pressures of school, work, and the loss of my father, not to mention the usual challenges of life. Everything, even the small things, seemed to hit me hard. Richard Carlson’s words helped me gain perspective, and what once felt impossible to manage became easier to navigate. I was thrilled to get my hands on this daily book by him and his wife Kristine, as soon as it was released. Each day’s entry offers a gentle and uplifting reminder of love and gratitude, making it the perfect way to start or end your day. It’s an easy read that brings a sense of joy and peace, which is especially welcome in our sometimes overwhelming world. This book would make a beautiful gift for anyone:)

Amazing book
This book is fantastic. It talks about our daily issues from stress to trying too hard to achieve to the need to constantly be doing. It talks about how upset we get at times over the small problems in our life. This book helped me out in such a way that I can safely say that after reading over 100 self improvement books this one is the #1 for me. So practical and easy reading so helpful to abtain more peace in life. While its not going to be the only book one needs for peace of mind and getting through lifes rough edges. It sure is worth reading once or twice a year for a refresher. A side sad note, the author who was a kindhearted and loving father, husband, and friend passed away on an airplane ride to NY at the end of 2006. It was Dec. 13 and he was going to be on the media promoted his newest book about the holidays called "Don't get scrooged" although his health and wellbeing was great, he died of a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot that went to the lungs. What a sad event, how much more meaningful his precious words were. He lived just 45 years and produced almost that many books in his short well lived life. May we all have the privilage to treasure ourselves as he ended his tapes with those words. He will surely be missed, but the good news is that his life was well lived and we can benefit from his work for as long as we live. Richard GOD bless you, may you say a prayer to help heal the world of the hate and misfortune. May you rest in peace in heaven under the glory of our loving creator.

I received book but it’s not new last page is torn. I am a bit disappointed but not returning as I can still read book.

Good book for quick reading.
I recommend it as a small guide to keep some things in mind, but not as a revealing guide where you gonna find out a great new perspective.

Read it and life will never be a worry for you
A must Read for everyone I would suggest. Read carefully, take notes or underline and I normally read 5 chapters a day and did not finish like a novel. I wanted to practise in my life so took it bite by bite. It is one of the best books on self help and life lessons and I am sure it will improve your approach to deal with tough times, annoying people, frustration and depression. Just make it practical and don't read like a Novel.
