The boxes are quite true to the pictures here - distressed white, nestable, with two cutouts for handles on the sides. They are attractive enough, especially given the moderate price. That said, they're not exactly heavy duty by any stretch of the imagination, and they have some sharp points. In my case it seemed like there was a sharp point sticking out of the bottom near one of the corners on a couple of the boxes, and the metal banding on the edges also sticks out a bit. I never felt like I was at risk of cutting myself, but I was a bit worried about scratching other furniture (like the nightstand I was tucking these away inside as storage baskets), so I stuck a small felt bumper on each of the corners - problem solved.Given the lightweight materials and few sharp points, I can't justify giving them 5 stars, even for the price. However, I am otherwise happy with them, and my nightstands now look much more organized, with the clutter tucked away inside these crates (and my cats can no longer drag away and hide things I left on my nightstand).

These are a high quality product. I purchased two sets of them to sit on my shelves to hold various photo equipment. They blend into the wood shelves very nicely. They have that hand-made, antique look to them. Well-constructed...I am sure it can handle heavy stuff with ease.I truly don't understand the negative reviews stating these shovels are much smaller than expected. They were exactly the size I was expecting. They aren't huge...and they don't look huge in the photo. They look pretty much how I expected them to. And, to put your mind at east about the quality of construction: the metal edges do NOT stick out at all from the wood. They provide extra strength and add a nice, rustic look to the boxes. The largest shelf fits flush up against the front of the shelves in my cabinet, which are roughly 12" deep. These boxes are well made and strong.What do some people expect for $26? For that price, they are good pieces.

At first I was going to give this a low rating. I think they need to update their pictures. My boxes were a little darker so I was kind of bummed out. But once I had them where I wanted them I realized a few other of my decor items were dark or had hints of the same color in them so I was relieved. Just be aware the color may not be the same. Other than that I really like these boxes.

Perfect sizes for my needs. I do agree the build quality is a bit low... the metal bits hang over the edge and don't look all that solid. I'm still very happy with the purchase, and for the price. Did have to bend some of the bits, and add felt to the bottom to minimize scratching - thus the 4 star.Be sure to measure for your needs. Many noted they are smaller than you expect. I did measure and these fit my desired storage spaces perfectly.

I bought 2 of this set when I ordered. We sometimes go to some craft fares and needed some wooden creates to display product on. I saw theses ones. I liked them so we bought them. We must have overlooked the measurements because on arrival they were smaller then expected. however we found a perfect use for them. they are well constructed and steady. They used good quality materials when making them. We use them to desplaiy produce on are smaller tables. we are always racing comments on how nice are booth is set up. i believe a large portion of those compliments are because of these wooden creates.

These make excellent organizers for open pantries or kitchen shelves. I painted the middle rung with blackboard paint so I could write on the side or you could just attach a label. Pasta, olive oils, vinegars, etc. are easy to find when grouped in these containers. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that the wood has a strong smell when it first arrives. You must air these out for a few days before bringing inside.

I was looking for storage boxes for a few of my household items. I ordered these without actually looking at the measurements and they are very small. As gift boxes they would be great but as storage solutions they might work for small items like jewelry or hair clips. The box itself is not very deep. Another thing is that the boxes are much more gray than the picture shows but the metal is a very shiny silver. I thought they may have a more tarnished look due to the image on here but that is not the case. I would return but I don't feel like dealing with the hassle so I will keep and repurpose.

I love these!! I have them outside in my backyard for my plants. It has rained a ton and been pretty cold outside, and they have still held up. They are very sturdy and super cute in my garden!! I would buy more, but I think they are a little overpriced for the size. That is my only complaint though!

Item is not as described. All 3 are painted a solid white. There is no distressing nor is it white-washed. I bought these for an event and it's too late to return them. Not impressed.

Not as described; a lot more white than the photo and not a very even whitewashed look, just a few pieces of paint missing. Slightly flimsy quality wise as well.
