Tested just in the back yard. Great so far. Little tight on fabric part but.that will adjust over time. Only part that makes me a little worried is the ends that the metal holds to are plastic. But seem very sturdy. The weight is there. Definitely not a back packing cot. But perfect otherwise. Very sturdy. Nice part as well no braces hitting into your back.

I was initially considering not getting this because of all the reviews saying it's impossible to put together even for two people. I'm a 100lb female and don't have very much muscle because I don't exercise or have a physically demanding job. But it took me about 3 minutes to put together by myself. 20 seconds to read the instructions and 2.8 minutes to put it together. To make it easier for yourself, instead of putting one full bar on, put both on half way. I affixed one side of the bar inside of the hole and put the other side next to the other hole. Then for the second bar I did the opposite side in all the way then the other next to the hole. It doesn't require anything fancy to get in or even very much muscle. It's more precision than muscle. It helps to use your leg to stabilize the cot, one arm to push down on the cot and the other arm to pull the bar out. Doing both together helps move the hole into the button on the cot. Don't rush it or you'll overshoot the hole. Just pull it slowly on the bar, push on the cot, and ease both into each other. To take it apart it's much of the same thing except with more emphasis on pushing the bar out and holding the cot in place. I wanted a nice cot that would be strong enough for my pupper and large enough for us to share, but didn't cost $100 or folded a million different ways. It's wide enough to share even though she likes to lay diagonally. She's able to sit and be nosy, stand up and say hi to the neighbors, and lay down to sleep or chew on her toy. It feels sturdy even with both of us on it. I like super soft things so as far as comfort without a cushion, it's hard and not squishy enough for me. I plan on getting a specific cushion for it anyway since I don't want her claws to destroy it. If you like softer this is definitely not good for you without a cushion. Leaving it in direct sunlight will make it feel like a blacktop. I also like to have a lot of extra room. I'm 5'7 and I fit inside of the two end bars. So my head and my feet don't sit on top of the bumps at the ends which is nice. I just received it an hour ago so I can't speak to longevity but so far I'm very impressed for the price. I didn't expect to find anything that would be a good fit for my needs. I don't plan on going camping with this. It's basically just for my dog to not have to lay on the floor on our balcony and so that I can join her occasionally. It is pretty heavy and doesn't seem worth it to carry around for camp. It does feel like it's built like a tank. Even the carrying case was nice quality. This cot seems better as backyard/patio furniture or a pop-up bed for guests to not sleep on the floor, but I might be biased since that's what I intended for it. If you have a car and don't plan on carrying your campsite far this will do just fine.

After developing some back problems- I needed a cot that will enable me to sleep in (relative) comfort while camping. there are many cots on the market, some good and some bad- but what i needed was a WIDE cot and one that will be comfy- not too tight and not too soft. The coleman is just that. It is very wide and It is very easy to open. if you will also get a large sleeping pad - you got yourself a decent bed. CONS: *heavy. this is no lightweight. takes some space if you don't own a pickup. Its weight and size are an issue in my jeep. *Not easy to install. I have read about the pole placement issue. and I have seen the videos. and the truth is somewhere in between.... It does not require brute force to assemble- however it does take a fairly large amount of force. some say you need to place your foot on the poles. It works- but then its hard to place the specific anchor point into the small hole cause well....my foot is not a hand. But this is no deal breaker - you just have to know that this will take some time. PROS: * Will fit inside a coleman 4 person quick pitch tent * you can sit up on the bed and use it almost like a chair * COMFY. how cool is it to be away from home and still sleep in a bed * WIDE: this is important. many Cots are not wide- or the manufacturer calculates the poles in the general width. this is as wide as coleman says. It is also long. STURDY: unlike some knockoffs this is a quality product. this will last.

This is an excellent cot to replace my old one (I believe it's a GI surplus) cot. Much heavier and wider to lay sleep bag flat since my old one slouch around the corners whereas this Coleman II fits the width of the sleeping bag which also is a Coleman brand sleeping bag. The surface is comfortable and a tad bit bouncy probadly due to the aforementioned width. The bars are thinner but seem very strong and durable. The foldable is straight forward and I had no problem getting the end bars attached.

These things are awesome. As comfy as a cot can get, and the durability is amazing. My wife and I have been sleeping on these for all of our hiking/camping trips for the last 3 years, and they look brand new still! A little difficult to put together when they are brand new, but once they break in and stretch out a bit, they're so easy to get together and back apart. They go up and down just like modern Army cots, so veterans have the upper hand with these lol

Very simple to set up. Folds up and packs away in its own travel bag. Fits easyly in your vehicles trunk. Very solid and strong I would trust this if I was a larger person.

Strong and solid cot. Excellent quality steel frame and cloth. I should have paid more attention to all the reviews. In addition to the reviews I read, I only viewed one video which showed just minor difficulty in snapping the 2nd crossbar into place. After I received this cot and needed to put it together in a tight space, I watched some more videos. Most of them described a lot of difficulty snapping in that last piece, as well as how hard it was to take apart to collapse. Difficult doesn't begin to describe my experience. I finally used a hammer handle as a makeshift prybar for leverage, and even then it was a huge struggle to snap in the last piece. I don't look forward to trying to take it apart. I'm a bit afraid of injuring myself to be honest. I'm a 5'2" 70+-year-old female, moderately strong. I always dislike it when instructions or reviews mention that assembly would be better (or best) with two people. I don't understand why products intended for one person can't be better engineered to make setup easier if you have to do it solo. I purchased this to put in the front half of my 23-ft vintage camper while a leaky roof in the midsection is being repaired — a semi-emergency situation. Although I would like to fold and unfold it for sleeping because my space is so small, I can't do that easily enough to risk not being able to set it up each night. I am able to turn it on its side temporarily so I can get past it, but it's still an obstruction. When my roof situation is resolved and I can fold up the cot longterm, it is actually very space-efficient when inside the included canvas case. One other review mentioned putting it back in the case was hard to do. At first glance, that's probably true, but I will cross that bridge if I come to it. In retrospect, I should have ordered a narrower cot, however I will keep this. At least it's excellent quality, and will give me a comfortable night's sleep when I add some comforters for padding and warmth. The only other thing I should mention is that there are some odd scratches on the underside of the cloth, and some faint blemishes on the bottom of the carry case. This makes me wonder if it was a return, or if the underside scratches are just from the legs scraping against it when folding/unfolding. Hopefully, the scratches don't compromise the strength of the cloth.

We made the switch from popup trailer camping back to tent camping this year, which came with the added joys of needing to arrange for comfortable sleeping arrangements. I'm a VERY finicky sleeper, in that I side-sleep and need to be comfortable. I've had bad experiences in the past on cots with extra-taught fabric across the small of the back, weak frames that bend when/where they shouldn't, and unnecessarily large size when folded. The reviews for this were great however, so I figured we couldn't go wrong trying. The $40 price was anywhere from $15-40 cheaper than most other options as well. That said: 1) They're heavy. Since these are almost certainly going to be purchased by car campers, that shouldn't be any concern. It also translates into a sturdy frame that won't (shouldn't) ever bend unless a sumo wrestler lays down on it. 2) Assembly is non-technical and easy enough to do, although using leverage to get the second end-strut on is required. Disassembly is just as non-technical, and leverage is required to get the first end-strut off. The "difficulty" that some reviewers complain of translates into a frame that won't fall apart when you're sleeping on it however, so would you prefer something you have to worry about, or something that's sturdy that also requires you use a little bit more effort to disassemble? It comes with a tidy and relatively small carry bag that helps with storage as well. 3) Comfort: this has NO extra-taught fabric or support across the small of the back, which translates into an even sleeping surface. I placed a 3-inch thick inflatable sleeping pad I purchased on Amazon on it, and found that I was VERY comfortable while sleeping. I'd hoped I'd simply sleep well not to wake up hurting. I slept GREAT. The first night the plug on my inflatable mattress accidentally popped out, causing the pad to deflate. I slept for the remaining 3 hours on the cot itself and was still ok. This is a great cot that costs less than almost anything else out there. It'll even make a great spare "bed" for the kids' friends during sleepovers. I'm extremely well pleased.

Amazing camping cot which is very useful to have when out on camping trips. Due to the tension in the material, first time set up is a bit tricky when trying to get final pole in - very very tight fitting. But once in, it is very comfortable to lie on. Easy to disassemble.

Very very good for camping.also as a spare bed at home. Easy to carry , store and transport

This cot has steel frame side bar and it’s sturdy compared to other cots with aluminium frame which might bend after few usages . Initially it’s hard to fit the bars at first time and after couple of nights it’s better than the first attempt as the canvas stretches a bit . Of course it might need a mattress for good night sleep but for this price its really worth for $$ . Could improve the stitching a little better but so far it’s holding good . Perfect for camping in 4/6 person tents . Worth to buy for long lasting Coleman military cots . Would buy it again . Pros : best value for money , sturdy cot with steel frames compared to other military cots ( Alluminium frames ) . Future Improvements needed : Better stitching , pivot arms to place bars , wheeled storage bag , Overall it’s a better cot compared to others in the market and hope it’s definitely last long for multiple nights . Would buy it again . Best bang for the buck !!!! .
