Purple strings!?
Got the titanium soprano string. Super pretty! They matched my galaxy themed ukulele so well. Love how they are transparent too so your eye is kind of tricked by its appearance. I also feel like they would match any style/color ukulele. Their tone is bright and crisp and projects well, even on my tiny soprano! I definitely recommend getting some.

Excellent Strings, Just Not For Me
Let me first say these are excellent strings. I gave them five stars because there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They're strong, durable, beautiful and have a bright, clear tone. And it's not their fault, they're just not for me. I've been on a quest to find the best strings for my ukuleles, so I've been trying different types of strings. I had a chance to try these titaniums, so I went for it, but I knew right away that they weren't going to work for me. Because of age and arthritis, I need strings that are light and easy for me to play. These strings have a larger diameter, are tough and cause me pain when I try to play using them. However, if you are younger and do not have hand and wrist issues and want a bright, clear sound for your uke, these strings would be a great way to go. For me personally, I have found that fluorocarbons are the easiest strings to play, and I think I'm going to stick with those from here on out. They also have a bright, clear sound but are easy to depress and have an almost elastic feel, so I'll be switching back to those soon. Again, no fault of the strings, just not a good match for me.

Good sounds when using felt pick - But as with most, won't stay in tune
These strings sound great with a felt pick - Good tone - Just wish it would stay in tune longer than half a song. But that Might be partly on the strings, partly on the old uke.

A little more money goes a long way!
For the price, these are decent strings. Suitable for beginners on the uke. This set, soprano AECG has an A string that doesn't match the rest of the strings in its intonation or tonal quality. It is definitely the weak spot in a mediocre string set. After two days I couldn't take it and neither could my tone deaf wife. Off they came. Put on a set of Aquila Corde Armoniche Super Nylgut, also from Amazon, and couldn't be happier. Do yourself, and your ukulele, a favor and just go with the Aquilas. The price difference is minimal. Enjoy!!!!

My Go-To Strings
I have been playing ukulele since 2018. I play every day. I have several ukes, all of them soprano. I use either the D’Addario titanium or carbon strings. I love the sound and feel of both, with a slight preference for the titanium. Bright and loud are good descriptors for the sound. On a soprano, it’s fantastic. Most new ukuleles come with Aquila Nylgut strings. Unfortunately, after playing with titanium all these years, it makes the nylguts sound muted and dead. Then I have to immediately swap out the strings on the new instrument. It takes a while for the strings to stretch and settle, so please be patient. It’s worth the wait!

I have used D'Addario strings now on half of my Ukulele's and they are really comfortable. Compared to the traditional Aquila Nylgut options these are thinner, less 'sticky' and improve resonance. These are the 'titanium' strings - that does not mean metal strings, only a monofilament wire inside the nylon sheath. They are almost translucent in colour with a fine almost metal core that is barely visible. I suppose that makes them resonate better, but for me it allows a thinner gauge which I prefer and a 'scratchier' sound for my blues recordings. I usually prefer fluorocarbon strings for general use, and these for blues/rockabilly sound. The titaniums are noticeably thinner and louder than Nylgut and Fluorocarbons and have a texture to them that really gives a more metallic edge to the sound. I have D'Addario's fitted to my KoAloha, Tanglewood, and Luna models and prefer these to anything else I have tried. I recommend as they come packed with a 'freshness' bag, colour coded strings, plenty of length, and the gauges written on the pack so you can easily replace. Not a single string has broken in the last 3 months of heavy daily use.
